Fender Strat to Acoustic using Nembrini Acoustic Voice Guitar Preamp
Tried to get my Fender Stratocaster to sound like an acoustic guitar using the Nembrini Acoustic Voice Guitar Preamp app.
Are you convinced?

Nice, I like the feeling of body it gives, and the string response is quite convincing.
@sharifkerbage I did this pretty quick just tweaking the default settings (see pics) and it sounds good. With more time you could probably dial in some very realistic acoustic sounds - there's a lot of guitar models and options to tweak (I don't know what the 'Notch' settings do yet!). I also found that the 'Piezo' Input Mode sounded pretty good with my Strat, although I settled on the 'Magnetic' setting. I used the Strat middle pickup for this take, but the neck pickup sounded good too - if you have humbuckers I imagine they will probably work better than single-coils.

Cool, thanks!! I'm almost almost convinced now.
According to the manual, the Notch is just a Notch Filter for getting rid of annoying frequencies (or emphasize frequencies, of course).
I think it might sound like one of those “Acoustisonic” Fenders.
@pbelgium , I think with playing like that even 6 elastic bands would sound good 👍
I think the sound could be interesting for layering strummed parts a bit lower in the mix with some EQ. It could give some unexpected flavor.
But I don't hear the pure acoustic sound and dynamic qualities. To me, is still sounds like an electric guitar. It vaguely reminds me of the sound you could get by recording a piezo through an old portastudio (I did in the old days😉) I think you could also achieve this type of sound with the signal from you strat through EQ and subtle distortion/saturation plugin. I don't think I would get this app. But it might do wonder to improve the sound coming from piezo which seems to be the original goal.
Nice playing ! I wish I could hear your play this on a real acoustic captured with real mic. It would sound a bit like some Jimmy Page noodling !
Wow, this works much better than I had expected, although Nembrini is such a great dev.
Thanks for the opinions and kind words. I just posted a more in-depth test here.
Wow, this sounds great! I definitely need to try this out.
The guitar in my pfp has a piezo pickup under the bridge pickup, so it could sound really interesting.
Your playing is good 😊, and sounds nice , but does not sound like an acoustic.
Is it on sale, or it is regular price?
Thanks @Chandyland I think it's worth it - still on sale @MAtrixplan.
Thanks @hisdudeness - doesn't sound like an acoustic, doesn't sound like a strat - somewhere in-between. I think it can be dialled in better with more time.
Check out the more in-depth test with electric & acoustic, comparing: direct input, thru the app, and mic - no surprises which sounds best.
