[EXP] Aphelian IAA Experiments in AUM

Decided to have a crack at using the standalone IAA version of Aphelian in AUM to drive 4 separate synthesizers. While Aphelian’s internal synth sounds sound amazing, I have them turned off here. Instead. Routing the MIDI from each of the four corners to a separate synth in AUM.

Please see video description for more info.

  • Raw screen capture. No fancy visuals this time, though I may still pipe the audio through again and add a couple more things, like a phat sub bass line, and maybe some kind of SWAM instrument on top.

    What do you guys think?

Im still amazed at how musical this Aphelian thing is! There’s literally an unlimited amount of shapes to use as each one can be stretched and morphed into anything you want. Then there’s the million and one different “background” grids (the greyscale gradient looking things) that hold all the notes of your chosen scales.

It’s really mind blowing to use!

And, I’m not using it here, but it also has a fairly decent drum machine built in, along with its built-in synthesizers.

    Very, VERY cool app!

Edit: I was just thinking about how this would behave with Polyphase along for the ride…

  • Hmmm.. lemme see what it takes to bring this M1 to its knees.
