They will find my church in the tall grass.

It’s my new “single” it’s on bandcamp and will be on streaming from next week. I know I spam the board a bit, so, I’m sorry for that, I’d really be honoured if you take the time to listen.

I’m spending some time high in the alps and this was inspired by that and sort of vomited out of me. It’s all done on iPad and I know I’m not really a musician or whatever, but maybe someone will like it?

Thanks for taking the time.

Dan

  • I enjoyed this Dan!

    Couple thoughts:

    1. Is this music? well, yes. Yes it is!

    2. Did Dan aka @sevenape create this? Yes! Apparently he did!

    3. Is Dan a musician? _duh… stupid question Ed…Yes he is! Obviously!

    Oh and

    1. Was it “high in the Alps” as in elevation high, or we talking “Cheech and Chong high in the Alps”? 🤣🤙
  • I’m so happy you liked it! Thanks!!! I wish I were “high” but for the time being I have to make do with cheese and wine for now. Yes, it’s a bit posh, but it’s practically all you can buy here.

Oh and genepi which is a relation to absinthe. Take from that what you will!! :))

Thank you again for being nice.

  • Enjoyed it a great deal too. Loved the bird noises blending in there.

  • Good stuff. Love the title. Suggest you add Calvados into the next mix etc.

You are a true gentleman! May your days be full of hard booze and soft women! Thank you!!!

  • Well done. It has tonality and percussion so it must be music.

It's a lovely brandy, typically made from apples, and native to Normandy. Delicious. In other news Calvados is also the regimental drink of The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada, The Royal Canadian Hussars, Le Régiment de Hull, Le Régiment de Maisonneuve, and The Sherbrooke Hussars. The troops were gifted with Calvados as the units passed through Normandy following the D-Day invasion. Known as le trou normand, it is normally taken between courses at a regimental dinner, or during a toast to remember fallen soldiers.

  • Love it! Very hypnotic, reminds me of something David Sylvian would have done in his early solo work.

Btw I take it your a Jet Set Willy fan 😀
