Looks wicked and sounds cool. I think the visuals because of the hot colour would best suited for something with a faster rock tempo
Nice track!
Reminds me a bit of the soundtrack to "The Falcon & The Snowman" movie. Same vibe.
Thanks for having a listen!
I also have a blue lava lamp that I’ve also recorded some closeup footage of. Maybe for some “cooler” pieces?
Thank you!
I’ll have to go check out this movie.
I don’t know why, but on some videos I post to YouTube, I get these spam/scam link comments.
It’s weird because it’s only on some videos.
Maybe something to do with the tags or hashtags?
Another great track. Can’t believe how much effort you put into the music and now the visuals as well. Keep them coming😊
Great track!!! Love the tempo. Why am I not surprised you have a lava lamp. 😂
Thank you!
I guess I had an over-productive week on the music making front as I was on vacation all last week. Went back to work yesterday.
Thank you Charlie!
I actually have a couple of them! 😉
Amazing
Hi Ed, I found the drums too loud on this one. I liked the parts without the drums. Since you’re stretching out these days, maybe some tracks with no drums?
Thanks!
Thank you for the expert analysis Mike. The drums are perhaps a little on the hot side in the mix, yes.
I guess I was really just trying to show off my Hammerhead programming here, and wanted to make the drums a flagship feature of the piece being that it’s an odd meter (7/4)… You know, like instead of a guitar solo geared piece, this one has the spotlight on the drummer.
It’s a 14 step sequence, with all kinds of chance/probability set to give it that “human” feel, with heavy emphasis on the snare rolls using the chance, flamenco and retriggering features.
Thanks again, I’ll take the drum track inclusion and loudness advice under careful consideration.
Sometimes cheap advice can make a big difference. @McD suggested thematic albums to me after I did Pictures At A Planetarium. Almost every album since has been theme based. It really focused me.
Objective listeners offering constructive criticism is probably my #1 favorite thing about these forums… ok, maybe #2…
waits for the inevitable “what’s #1?”
