  • Great piece. And you also do Arvo Pärt! Amazing! Do Alan Hovhaness next!

  • One of the most intelligent uses of Fugue Machine I have heard. Well done!

  • Awesome! Fugue Machine can be so inspiring!

    🎖️

Edit: also, your Minimal City album on YouTube is brilliant as well. Wow.

  • I’ve always struggled with Fugue Machine. I though it offered such a lot but have never managed to get anything decent out of it. This on the other hand is the best I’ve ever heard.

  • Wow. ❤️‍🔥

  • Had to sign up just to tell you : THIS IS SO FANTASTIC !!! Never thought you could do something like THIS with Fugue Machine …Unbelievable 🙏

  • That Cello part is so nice... it looks like you have an AudioLayer cello instrument.
I like the vibrato it exhibits. Some real magic there.

A good cello vibrato can really make something sound real. All the acoustic instruments
need a carefully crafted vibrato and not one that changes speed with the pitch changes.

Would you share any clues to how you made it or found an instrument to import. I know AudioLayer provides an VCSO orchestra sound library... is it that cello?

  • I also would like to know about the beautiful cello. How did you do this ?Please share… :)

This is superb. Bach becomes Philip Glass.

Agreed! How this dude has only 5 subscribers is beyond me. All of his stuff is amazing!

  • Beautiful. Many thanks to you...and Bach (and FM)

  • Creative use of the scales setting. Very nice!

  • @Mireminix, I’ve listened to some of your music on YouTube. You’re the real deal. Very sensitive and, as I said, intelligent. I assume not all is iOS. Correct?

Here’s another track... @Edward_Alexander, Give a listen. I know you can be on this vibe with your drum tracks.

  • Amazing piece.

Thank you all sooooo much for all your wonderful comments !!! so glad you enjoyed it, really appreciate it ❤️

@McD and @pauletto : I didn`t find a nice cello for IOS, so I sampled a -desktop- plugin (LA ScoringStrings) solo cello and made an instrument in AudioLayer… was not sure about that sound, so I am very happy you liked it !

Thanks to @Edward_Alexander & @ervin for mentioned Minimal City ! I just started uploading a few days ago on YouTube - so I`m very very happy about every visitor and of course subscriber ;) Please all come by:

Yes you are right, Minimal City is not IOS. It was made "oldfashioned" with a DAW on a Computer.

    What violin is that?

  • @LinearLineman it`s a cello - a real played cello, recorded for another song. I took the audio file, put it in the BM3 sampler and played around with it and some nice apps (Ravenscroft275, Zeeon, Aparillo, ModelD)

This guy has mad technical skills to go along with his excellent musical sensibilities.

  • I agree with everyone how good this sounds and with such a tiny nugget to start with. But I can’t help feeling/wishing the 2nd measure was going to happen; with the same tools and transformations; just to move things along. Then the 3rd, etc.

Maybe one reason could be how difficult I’ve found Fugue Machine to be for entering notes. I wish I could record directly from a midi keyboard; or have some kind of step record function. And you can’t copy paste a midi file either. Also I’ve been frustrated that when I enter a note I can’t hear it until the playback head passes through it. So you can’t even enter notes by ear. So laying out a pre composed phrase seems unusually tiresome.
