Thanks a lot, everyone!
Fantastic app!
Picked this up the other night as my daughter and I were improvising on the couch and recording into Loopy. My wife wanted a copy and I didn't want to have to fire up a computer to email it to her. Not only did this do the job nicely, I've already gotten a lot of mileage out of it in the Output slot of Audiobus. Record, trim & send rocks!
Today I'm purchased Audioshare. Thanks for this useful app, I'm very happy with it!
Unfortunately, Audioshare doesn't detect the correct tempo from Audiocopy files. You have to adjust the bpm in the trim editor, even when the Audiocopy entry includes tempo information. Example: When I paste an audio loop rendered by iElectribe, the Audiocopy file list shows correctly 95 bpm, but Audioshare's trim editor shows 1 bpm. Same, when I paste a loop generated by Chordbot Pro into Audioshare. The Audiocopy list indicates the 90 bpm correctly, but Audioshare shows 120 bpm. It would be very helpful, if Audioshare could detect (and store) the original tempo. Any ideas?
One little wish: To avoid clicks after trimming audio I would like to see a Snap-To-Zero function in the trim editor (or better: a small crossfade at the start and the end of the selection).
@j_liljedahl I love Audioshare!
A quick question: Why sometimes a sample becomes inaccessible? It is grayed out in the samples list and I cannot delete or access it anymore. I looked with iFile and it is there as it should be in the Documents folder. This happened suddenly, before the file played normally. Is this a bug?
@klangsulfat: AudioShare does not currently store any metadata together with the soundfiles. But the trim tool detects if there is a "x bpm" given in the filename, so you can rename the files to have the bpm included. Crossfade in trim tool is planned for the future, but can't say exactly when it will happen.
@SaveAs: That sounds like a bug, unfortunately! I will look into it. In the meanwhile, restarting AudioShare (kill it in the multitask bar first) should work around it and make all files accessible again.

Better yet, variable crossfade length to create really smooth seamless loops from anything.
I agree with smeeeth! It would be REALLY nice to have the capability for creating looped samples with variable crossfade and snap-to-zero function in the trim editor!!! :-) The iPad is really lacking in the sampling tools department!

I find BeatMaker 2's crossfade feature in the sample editor to be pretty useful. I use it to loop ambient notes and drones.
When I adjust the tempo I hear no difference in the speed of the sound. Wanted to use the app as a tool for slowing down music. Tried toggling the snap function. Otherwise awesome app for the purpose it was built for. Thank you, Mr. Jonatan.
@Vontick - your looking for something more like AnyTune Pro or any app that does time stretching. This is mostly file management
@Vontick - Thanks! But the tempo setting only affects the snap grid. AudioShare does not have any time stretching or transposition (yet, at least).
Aww. The first part about the snap grid, what does that mean? I thought tempo meant literally adjusting the bpm thus slowing sound. I have a few apps that slow down but no export/open in. Thank you kind sirs.
I find it useful for when wanting to trim an audio loop to fit a certain bpm in another project.
Importing any loop into an existing project inside of Loopy HD will adjust the bpm of imported loop to that one set inside of the current Loopy Project. That sounds like what you might be after?
Do you have BM2? It can timestretch and then you can save samples to Dropbox or AudioCopy/Paste to AudioShare or other apps.
@Vontick - I do believe that AnyTune Pro has what your looking for, or at least all the features you described its borderline expensive but a great app...
AnyTune Pro+ on AppStore its $14.99 and there is a limited free version. It sounds like just the app your looking for and offers tons of great features including Audiobus support.
free today :-)

@jlijedahl are there plans to implement landscape view for the wave editor or chop markers to split a drum loop into a kit ala BM2 ?
And maybe zoom or like you said maybe an expandable waveform window for finer editing or longer loops where its very difficult to be precise. It's by far one of my most used apps and is stellar already.
I know many wants zoom and more editing capabilities. However, AudioShare was never meant to turn into an audio editor, the major focus is about managing your soundfiles and transferring them between stuff. Some day, if I find the time, I might add more editing features as an IAP, or perhaps even a separate simple audio editor (single file, no multitrack or DAW features, and of course cheaper than the DAWs)..
Love AudioShare ! It's a vital part of my workflow.
I'd love to see a bit more evolved editor in Audishare when it comes to just the most basic thing like a slightly more detailed and zoom-able waveform view for the trimming. Any other things like fades would just be a bonus. I agree on keeping Audioshare simple and basic when it comes to editing audio, but just a tad better control on where you're trimming the audio would be great to have in this app.
Also a separate simple/basic audio editor, fast and lightweight on system resources/space, sounds great to me.
@jlijedahl - So while we're on the topic, I do have one other question/feature request. I'm thinking it wouldn't be too difficult to do but really I don't know. I know it already has zip/unzip integrated, but I was wondering how difficult it would be to also add rar/unrar capabilities...?
@ChrisG: I hear you. Hopefully some day I can look into this.
@JMSexton: That depends on what kind of open source rar/unrar library with commercial-compatible license I would find.. Unfortunately I think I'll need to prioritize other stuff.
Is there a way to send audio to Auria with the new update ?
edit
Auria 1.11 will support 'open in...' and 'Audioshare import'...

Auria 1.11 supports Open In and AudioShare Import.
Rim
Yes, since AudioShare 2.5, it's now possible for other apps to implement an "Import from AudioShare" button.

Constantly cool updates! Thanks
Way cool! Thanks j_liljedahl!!!
Really cool/useful. Looks like Auria will be the first app to have both export and import (?). Does that mean that Auria (or any app using the SDK) will be able to access Audioshares documents/folders and import selected files to its own program library?
Any plans for audioshare to access NAS drives so all my 300gb+ sample library is Audiobus ready ?
@ChrisG: Yes, that's right. This is how the workflow looks like: User taps "Import from AudioShare" in Auria (or some other app), AudioShare is automatically launched. In AudioShare, the usual big share buttons are replaced with a new "Import into Auria" button (or the name of the other app, if it's not Auria, of course), tap that and it will switch back to Auria and do the import.
This means the user have full access to everything else in AudioShare while deciding which file to import. You can play files, trim, etc..
@DaveMagoo: That would be nice, but I haven't found any suitable (free and with permissible license) programming library to access NAS drives. Maybe there is some other NAS browser app out there with an "open in" button? Then you could use that to transfer from NAS into AudioShare.
