Shamelessly bumping.
It's somehow reassuring that even you have to resort to the odd bump😁
Great track, could have been a lost take from The Köln Concert which is about the biggest compliment I can make.
This was super!
@GeoTony, re bumping... I do it as little as possible, but, occasionally, if I’m looking for confirmation of my own assessment, I will bump to get a reaction to make sure my judgmental compass is still working. And thanks, very much, for the Jarrett comparison. That means a lot to me.
And thanks @JudasZimmerman for listening to so much of my junk, I really appreciate it! 😘😎🥳🙏
I’m a Soundcloud follower, so I get it in my feed and consume it all. I think all your stuff is at least very interesting, often inspiring and always listenable.
@JudasZimmerman, thanks for the kind words, mate.
Powerful, yet graceful at the same time. By 3:22 I was transported somewhere, I’m not sure where, but I think Linus and Lucy were there…
Thanks for the praise, @Edward_Alexander. Are you referencing Vince Guaraldi? I hadn’t thought of that.
I am!
Beauty crafted from pure imagination.
The morphing triplets in the bass/pizz strings with the floating piano reveries made
me think of Phillip Glass and his smaller ensemble tendencies. There's a documentary
series on HBO going on called the "100 Foot Wave" and Phillip Glass provides the music
and since there's a lot of voice over a lot of it sounds like this to provide a texture but not
draw attention away from the narration.
I'd love to see a young documentary student ask Mike to improvise a score over some
otherwise finished work of film. Oh well... the schools are pumping out musicians looking for work in a very strange marketplace for art. It's similar to the imbalance of Professional Sports and the number of people that would like to make that draft.
Charming little waltz. I think the The ravenscroft piano sound is a good choice for this song. Nicely played.
