Excellent, thank you Steinberg
I've got IAA and non IAAsynths automating with, IAA fx automating on both audio and midi channels (gotta map a spare midi channel to get CC routing for anything on an audio channel)
This puts a huge smile in my face, been using it a couple of hours now. Really need to go buy myself a launchkey mini now. I can see myself making a whole track on this in the same quality levels as i have on my main Mac Pro rig. This is ridiculous . Quite a revolution. Onyl need a proper sidechain IAA app now so i dont have to do it manually oh and curves would be nice
This is a really nice update!
Has the audio editor always been so destructive? Was playing with an audio track, deleted the wrong bit of my sample and then couldn't undo the change!

You have to use the tools (e.g draw) from the sub menu located bellow the top menu bar of Cubasis.

Are you guys going to make an automation tutorial video, @GuillermoNavarrete?
Thank you Steinberg:)
Anyone able to record sector as an IAA instrument?
Anyone able to record thumbjam as an IAA instrument using the TJ keyboard?

There is nothing planned for the time being, but I will pass this idea to the Marketing department.

Only done a few simple tests so far but seems to working fine on my iPad 2. Automation is very cool! If we could have a way to make tempo and time signature changes too, that would be terrific - and surely well overdue.

I will have to correct myself in this one, yes, there will be a video Tutorial about the new Automation in Cubasis 1.8, although I cannot tell you when it will be ready.

I just tried this app. It's truly impressive. Not a toy app, but seems to be very polished and well thought out. Anyway, kudos to Steinberg. Thing is, it seems rather user friendly. (This isn't a term that would immediatly pop into mind when I would think of the desktop version LOL )

The best Cubasis update ever! I've been using BM2 instead of Cubasis since I've discovered the Sustain Pedal behavior, which is now working the way it should. And now we have automation, another thing that kept me away from it till now. So I'm back to Cubasis
I have a question regarding BM2/Cubasis, which actually seems to be an issue with BM2. I'm trying to trigger the drum machine in BM2 from a MIDI track in Cubasis. While it triggers the Keyboard instrument in BM almost automatically, the drum machine does not respond... Are there any tricks to make it work? Thanks!
@FRibeiro The drum sampler in BM2 is configured for C-2, which I believe is 2 octaves beneath where the keyboard begins in Cubasis. I reprogrammed instruments in BM2 to accommodate this with drums starting at C1. Does that help?
Yeah, thanks! Using the Learn feature in BM and playing notes on the Cubasis keyboard to reconfigure MIDI notes for the pads did the trick.
I hadn't thought to use learn for that. Awesome, thanks!
@crohde @guillermonavarrete
The MIDI Input port selection process in Cubasis is broken. For example, selecting a specific port from the pop-up menu usually leads to an entirely different MIDI port being assigned/loaded. This issue is very frustrating to deal, and especially so now that MIDI CC recording and editing have been added. In addition, MIDI ports from apps that have been open and closed from the home screen, and which have not been open in days/weeks, persist. Is Steinberg aware of these issues, and is a fix being worked on?
Thanks,
Mariana

Good man Jesse.
Find out what Hans has been up to?;)
Thanks for the update. I just wanted to express my gratitude even though I haven't had time to really try it out yet. Too many cool updates coming out. It's like it's the update season or something.
Awesome update, huge improvements....thanks Steinberg!
My humble feature request for the next update;
Hey Greg,you can swipe up on the editor to make it almost fullscreen. Hope this helps.
