This started out as another experiment in building chord progressions in iBassist, paired with Rock Drummer, (both Inter App Audio - non AU apps) I used the MIDI out accompaniment features of iBassist to drive two additional AU synths in AUM (House: Mark I and OB-Xd) and came up with a few bars of an old school style progression.
This was actually a stale AUM session I had saved in AUM for about a week. I was just about to delete it when I decided to try one last time to inject some life into it. To do this, I decided to run Drambo standalone along side it, with several synths, tracks and patterns, and composed a brand new set of visuals thanks to the amazing visual tools; Glitch Clip and of course, my favorite; VS - Visual Synthesizer!
Plus I decided to dabble a little in some creative fictional writing, (and seems I’m not the only one who had this idea today!).

At 2:44 there’s a block of text that flashes for a split second. I missed it in editing, but we’ll just call it one of those subliminal messages ala “Fight Club”. It reads:
“Special thanks to everyone at the AudioBus forums back on Earth”
Excellent stuff, very good visuals though I still find ‘flashy stuff a bit wearing… that’s just me!
Yes, spooky timing… especially with the subject matter🤖
Drambonians huh? . You getting better fast with the visual stuff. You could easily crop out that bottom bar from the screen recording by just size up the video a little bit in CapCut. Good job!
Thanks! You know what they say, “great minds..”
Thank you!
Ah yes, I didn’t even notice that till you pointed it out lol.. I could have cropped that out right in the photos app or CapCut.
Here’s the frame that I also missed in the final video. (Flashes for .2 seconds at 2:44ish)
@Edward_Alexander
I like the track.
Nicely done.

Thanks Grav, you know what, I’ve gotta be honest with you guys, I tried listening to this in the car tonight after work… and it sounds like ass! The visuals look great, but the music sounds like it’s coming from the next door neighbors house, and it’s not all that great either.
But in the spirit of learning, and my policy of no rear view mirrors, I’ll leave it and move on to the next piece!
I appreciate you guys being kind!
I listened earlier using the iPad speakers.
I'm now listening on headphones.
The signal sounds to hot which can happen for various reasons.
The most obvious would be ear fatigue.
Is it a jam or do you have the stems because the track itself sounds good.
And yeah, it's nice to simply do a track and head on.
One mans ass is another mans…? …not sure how to finish that off…! track still sounds good to me!
Loved this one, mate
Awesome example of track that was revived really well, from what you describe.
Nice I can almost hear someone singing on this
Like the visuals very 60s vintage looking
Keep banging....
Thanks again Tony!
Maybe this one just needs a remix to satisfy my ears.
Thank you! Yeah, it’s fun to go through old projects and see if there’s anything salvageable.
Thanks for taking it for a spin!
Spooky how good the drums sound on this… clearly I did the right thing in getting out of drumming a long while ago. You shouldn’t be so hard on yourself - I think this track sounds great. In fact, that descending riff reminds me of something. Can’t place it… maybe music from an old tv show, or movie? Reminiscent of, not a copy of, I mean. Damn, it’s an ear worm for me now…
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate the kind words.
I think it’s just the way the mix sounded to me. It sounded great when I was recording it, but listening in the car and on other systems (like this little boom box we have at work) I was like “oh no!” I might try a remix with the drums pushed back and some tighter synth sounds.
It was just a jam, but I do still have both project files (AUM and Drambo)
Ahhh okay…
You could do it again with the levels eased back or arrange it, mix and export out the stems for mixing.
As it’s a jam I would say ease back the levels.
