Best Compact Bluetooth Typing Keyboard for iPad
Hi folks
Looking for recommendations for the above.
- Probably something general purpose that would work with other Bluetooth devices, so not looking for the official Apple smart keyboard
- Decent keybed
- Compact size
- About £50 GBP or less if possible
Thanks!

I've been using this little sucker since 2016 and it has never let me down. Lasts months on a single charge and is so compact that I can take it everywhere without even thinking about it.

(might wanna edit the thread title to clarify that you're looking for a typing keyboard.)
I’ve used one of these for a couple of years. No complaints https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00X5P8BJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_GRG99HEXQ7EAYF0TX90T?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks for suggestions ... and good call @wim
I’m looking for the same, and that moko folding one @wim linked to looks like it for me. Thanks.

Oh, damn! A portable [semi-]ergonomic keyboard? Gonna have to grab one myself. Now if only it was columnar...
I got an Anker one from Walmart on Clearance for $10 about 8 months ago. Works fine, small, and light weight. They usually run for only $20.
I picked up a Ducky One2 ten-keyless mechanical a few months back. It isn’t Bluetooth and not in your price range, but for typing, the mechanical is great!
Maybe something like: https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Multi-Device-Mechanical-Rechargeable-Switch-White/dp/B0731CJ4ZJ/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=bluetooth+mechanical+keyboard&qid=1629659282&sr=8-3
Still just use a regular magic keyboard. "Portable" keybaords usually have smaller keys and that shit sucks.
40$ case that doubles as a stand:
I also dont use it nearly as much as i thought i would. Maybe 10% of the time or less. Really only when i gotta type more than 500 words in a go.
I got one of these, works ok but I wouldn’t want to be typing war and peace on it. The trackpad works as well now.

I use the logitech k380. The battery life is amazing. Has 3 bluetooth profiles so I can easily switch between my MacBook pro and my iPad. Seems pretty rugged as I do travel with it in my backpack and it has never failed me. I have had it for several years.

I use a Royal Kludge RK61. It's a mechanical bluetooth keyboard. Its cheapo but the typing experience is way ahead of anything sort of laptoppy or slimline thing, it's a bit fiddly to start with because the cursors share with other keys but it's second nature after a while to switch between them. I painted it and put some custom keys on it to make it look a bit retro.
+1 for this - really nice little keyboard.
I've been using Logitech's Keys-To-Go (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00R0I71S4).
Even though it's extremely thin (5.39 x 9.53 x 0.24 inches), there's enough give in the keys that it feels OK when typing. I especially like that it's small enough to just throw in a bag, along with an iPad.
Logi keys-to-go is great. VERY compact and the action is not terrible.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

To be honest it’s the iPad Magic Keyboard case. The keyboard is made of the same kind of rubbery material as their iPad cases you can buy, so it’s itself a case for the iPad which makes up for a lot of the downside of the extra size and is pretty neat to have a device that feels like the computing device itself without a case on it, with the device itself being a case like built-in armor but with the feeling of holding a cohesive and bare computing device.
It sucks for ergonomic placement of display though.
That’s the premium option you can weigh cheaper ones against
