Emerson, Lake and Palmer live. Brain Salad Meatloaf. That synth preset is arresting... I'm guessing it has an integrated Arp which required a bit of practice to master and decide how to make it work well. I like the interplay of the arp and rock drummer which becomes an exercise in polyrhythmic alignment: Well done glueing the pieces into a whole and making it sound like a band and one of the most innovative synth/keyboard driven bands in the R'n'R Hall of Fame. Keith Emerson was true a innovator that mined prog rock but wrote tunes that connected with a massive audience... and he got the attention of Leonard Bernstein by covering one of his tunes:
For all the millions of kids taking piano lessons one of them uses those hard won techniques to make the keyboard very relevant... again. Some of them discover IOS in their 70's.
Thanks for the praise @McD. I’m finding DRC a wonderful change from the other synths. Either it brings out something different in me or I am evolving in my approach.
Actually, tho this is not an example, it feels more suited to classical type music than any other synth I’ve focused on so far. Like the prior track, Aurora and Cold Day You’ll hear more of that in the upcoming tracks as well.
