Legend! Love me sum dub. 🙌
GrandMasteeee
The original dub innovator number 1, 1, 1, 1…
Saw him twice in the early noughties. Fun times.
Best Tracks:
Jungle Lion
Check him Out (the Bleechers)
City Too Hot
He described his dub sound as a “bubbling gum pot of goo and glue”.
RIP Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry.
🎩🌹
Legend
Oh man.
The Originator of dub reggae.
The Legend.
I’ve got to call my brother.
Lee Perry and he worked
together quite often in Japan.
‘Rest in Peace Soldier’
as my Jamaican bredrens would say.
🙏🏾
We lost Ed Asner and Lee Perry on the same day. I like to think they’re skanking with Mary Tyler Moore in heaven now.
Met him once. What a legend.
LOL
Who was Ed Asner?
Edit.
Googled and found him.
Rest in peace Ed Asner and a skank is definitely in order.
RIP Mr Perry. Just put Megaton Dub on in tribute.
Besides the amazing sounds, the best thing about seeing him live was watching his wife hang out backstage in the wings. She would be occasionally overcome by the vibe and then wander onto the stage, feeling herself up.
And Ron Bushy, drummer of Iron Butterfly, and the infamous In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida drum solo.
