Very impressive all round.
Thank you for sharing.
Great video, great music. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Luscious, technically and emotionally 😋
Checked around, still no Audiogus album 🙁
Aww, thanks yawl
@ocelot Maybe I will post something from my Maschine one year anniversary in a couple months.
Nice one!
Brother Gus!!!
I’m treating this as a requiem to Scratch as it has his vibe.
Love it.
Niiice!🙏
Very nice!!
That’s awesome. If you’ve told me 30 or 40 years ago that this would be possible in the early 21st century with a handheld device I’m sure I would have had a good laugh. 😁
Very good! Nice work!
Very cool and mesmerizing. Is Gary Khor aware of his new presence as spiritual leader on the 7th plane?
Great visuals and an awesome chill track!
Excellent track. I’ve been listening to Mike D’s radio show/podcast “Echo Chamber” lately and this would fit right in. But that Lee Scratch Perry wink at the fade out! That’s a whole new track! Do that for six minutes!!
Thanks, Hehe, I’ll ask him next time I am there.
I bought a Tenori On for couch tunes about ten years ago and that seemed like magic. It really is strange to live in a time where ten years away is so difficult to imagine.
I did get a new 11” M1 last weekend and have been taking it for a spin trying out the old apps again. It really blows me away just how fast it is. I have next week off to play with it, so looking forward to it
Btw, all of the source footage, with the exception of Mr. Khor, are from Storyblocks which integrates super well with Lumafusion. Doug did a video on it the other day and I just had to give a try.
Thank ye Brother Gus! @ExAsperis99 , I did this track a couple days ago… wonder if I was picking something up on the seventh dimension?
Absolutely. Luma is the biggest jump in noticeable improvement so far. It makes experimenting very easy and care free. Bouncing out a 4k video with all layers blazing is barely an inconvenience.
The only thing with the M1 so far is the headphone jack situation. The Official Apple Headphone Adapter… for some people it is fine (surprisingly) but for me it is a crazy unreliable cracklefest of epic unusable proportions. Even simply running Youtube by itself I get a ton of crackles with it. Maybe it has to do with the impedance of my cans? Just basic Seinheiser 380 Pro HD headphones that I have used for probably ten years now on all sorts of devices without issue. But yah, losing that headphone jack wouldn't be so bad if the dongle actually worked. Oddly enough the headphone adapter even makes Lumafusion video playback stutter and chop like crazy. Good thing I bought a couple Roland Duo Capture audio devices years ago in a mad moment that are now really paying off. I have one dedicated to the couch rig now and one at the standing desk. If I were commuting I would be screwed/pissed. The third party adapters that clamp on look OK but doubt they work well with a case and no way I would commute without a case. Yah Apple, screwed mobile music production. Lol/sob. But anyway, looks like I should be home bound for a while anyway…
As for battery, yah I found on a BM3 session of 30+ banks with a bunch of AUs etc (mostly fx now that I think about it but at least eight or so synths) that I finally got the CPU up to the 50% mark and battery was just casually trickling down, not an issue at all. Luma though, which probably takes advantage of way more resources (cores? GPU etc?) definitely used the old battery. An hour of Luma felt like it would take about 40% or so. Still, not bad at all! Yah this thing is awesome, no regrets, RIP headphone jack and bathroom break jams.
Why doesn't the Apogee One/Duet work anymore?
@CapnWillie I just use the Standard Apple Headphone dongle on my iPad Pro M1 and haven't had any crackle issues. When I want to expand what's plugged in to the iPad, but keep it minimal, I use the Kingston Nucleum and plug the Apple headphone dongle into the free USB-C port and play and listen away while keeping everything charged and syncing.
This is my travel light setup when using the iPad Pro M1 with the MPC One or OctaTrack. The Mio provides Midi over USB since neither device will transmit Midi over their respective USB ports to the iPad:
note: for the Maschine+ or PolyEnd Tracker or OP-Z, the USB ports on the Nucleum suffice for Midi sequencing.
Also, you can see here that the Apple USB-C audio dongle allows me to play Audio over 1/4 Stereo without the need for an audio interface. I can elect to play it through speakers or feed it back in to the MPC One, Octatrack or Maschine+ for Stereo sampling and audio effects purposes.
Really nice track! Thanks for sharing! 👍
@AudioGus Really love the vibe and tone and pace of this track...instant relaxation in a good vibes way...Thanks for the Hit!
Really looking forward to it! Gentle IDM that's both technical with subtle fireworks but with the emotional tilt is hard to come by these days - you nail it and have your own signature sound.
Wow, thanks Ocelot, if I wasn’t inspired before I sure am now!
Those do look neat, kinda cyberpunky. I do sleep with earplugs though and do need to rest the old canals during the day but the mrs wants a new pair so I will probably get them for her. Thanks!
Love this.
Well, I guess this proves you can do tai chi on a couch. I studied four years with a senior student of Chen Man Ching. Know of him?
I do believe this is the first work I’ve heard of yours. Well worth waiting for!🥳🥳🥳👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
+1
No, I don’t. I dabbled a little bit at times but yah should do more for sure. Maybe even upright one day.
Aww, thanks LinearLineman. I have posted bits here and there in sub thread ninja style but yah hope to post more soon. I have next week off so maybe something by weeks end.
Thanks for the props and warm fuzzies all, feeling very motivated now. much love!
great track, thanks for sharing! kinda reminds me of ivy lab, one of my favorite current artist.
Thanks for the tip, been enjoying this!
