  • Was really curious what genre was this. Couldn't exactly define. Then saw you tagged it as Americana.
That's interesting, and searching for what other songs go into this form of music, makes total sense.

Anyway... I love it. And that's why I got so interested in what exactly it was. You always amaze me with your different vibes 💖

@senhorlampada, lol, I had the same difficulty, Part bluegrass, Copeland, Hymnal, Hall of the Mountain King for ten seconds, then there’s the drum part... maybe @McD knows what it is!
Americana was the best I could come up with 😉😎🙏 Very glad you liked it, my friend.

  • Music that makes it hard to label is good music for me! I dig this 🥰

  • This one is my favourite so far in the series.
I really dig that very brief and surprising change up at around 1.20.
Makes me think of something on a Sparklehorse album, especially when you add the drum track. Would suit a Mark Linkous vocal.
    Lovely piece! 👍👍

  • Thnx @Spidericemidas , it’s those darn patches of yours!

Yeah... I too get a strong americana vibe... like the auto-harp strumming of the basic I, IV, V chords. Very church centric harmonies using meat and potato chords without any extensions. It's like musical gingham. It goes in and out of style over decades.

"A bottle of red, a bottle of white, whatever mood you're in tonight."

  • Mike, I love this!
