…So I’ve been messing around with the beta of Other Desert Cities while I await for the regular version to drop. Naturally, thinking of desert cities in general, and Lovecraftian ones in particular, because Dark Ambient in a Lovecraft mode is kind of my speed, led me of course back to his early story The Nameless City:

It’s not much more than a brief atmospheric sketch, with a bit of a spook at the end, really, but it does feature the first appearance of one of his most famous quotes:
“That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die.”

@mistercharlie : yes, I know. Initially fearing issues of etiquette, I wanted the piece I had created with the app just to sit under Creations, but I take your point, so I have now cross posted it there for anyone that is interested in just hearing the effect (well, the beta) in context in a piece.
