1st in a Continua series. Following @Spidericemidas around the world I employ his Cat’s Chorus patch along with SWAM Cello and Total Bass double bass.

Nice transition at 2:00.
I’m really feline this one 🤣🤦♂️
It’s a nice blend with the natural and electronic string sounds. Somehow the tune has the majesty and cuteness of a Cat.
😸
Thanks for sharing! I'm curious if you have a picture of your setup. Did you already post a picture of your gear? I'm in a mood for buying stuff I think!
Always a pleasure to read your post.
Cheers!
Thanks, @Spidericemidas. As always, great presets to inspire one.
Lol @Montreal_Music, not much to see...
So that’s where all the magic happens ☝😊
I'm sure the piano is really good. I was looking for a Kawai MP7SE. What model is this piano? My piano setup will probably looks like yours as soon as I got my 88 hammer piano (not sure which).
@Montreal_Music, it’s a Kawai ES8, discontinued after many successful years and replaced with the ES920. Same action as the the MP7se. The ES8 has speakers but lacks the pitch and mod wheels and 4 zone controller with several hundred sounds of the MP7se. I recommend the action compared to Roland, Yamaha, Studiologic weighted hammer actions in the price range.
Casio PXS1100 is a much cheaper alternative, tho no pitch/mod wheel. The PXS3000 has one, however and still quite a bit cheaper than the MP7se, but not a true midi controller.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of Casio's piano. I like their watches, but not their piano. I'm not sure which casio, but a recent model has a big flaw: black keys way lighter than the white keys.
@Montreal_Music, I’m aware of this Casio controversy. IMO, having owned one, the PXS1100/3000 is quite easy to play and I noticed no real difficulty in any weight difference between white and black keys. I sold mine because I wanted a heavier action that would facilitate practicing on a dp.
Action is very subjective. I owned an MP11se with a wooden key, longer pivot action, highly touted and more expensive, but I prefer the action on the ES8/MP7se.
The Casio is $850 and the Kawai is $1800. That’s a significant difference if it matters (the ES8 was $1300). If you are connecting a bunch of hardware, obviously, the MP7 is a much better choice and a much more substantial keyboard, sans speakers, of course.
I found no limitation in playing the Casio. In fact, the repetition might have been better. It was a bit of G.A.S. and wanting a more substantial unit. I sold the Casio, no problem. Hope that helps.
I really want to buy a piano soon, but the more I read, the more I got confused with all the details.
I appreciate your answer. I trust your judgement and I'm glad you liked the action on the Casio. I'm looking for a good keybed. I learned that the Korg D1 has the same keybed as in the more expensive keyboard (RH3 action). Do you have any thoughts on this model? I don't want to take all your time, but I'm curious of your answer.
Cheers!
@Montreal_Music, no problem. The MP7 has an RHlll action. A big difference to an RH, and ikm not certain the RH on the Korg D1 is made by Kawai. I don’t think so. Nord uses a modified Kawai action. I think they’re the only ones that have an arrangement with Kawai.
I would take the Casio action over an RH action, tho pianists like the Kawai ES110 in the lower price category and I think that’s Kawai RH Compact.
If the money is an issue I think you’ll find value in the PXS3000. I researched a lot after I sold my MP11se in Turkey. I also got the Casio cause it was lightweight and I thought I’d be traveling with it. The MP7 and the ES8 have metal cases. I simply liked the Casio. Very elegant, too.
Have you looked at Arturia Keylab? Not the Keylab Essentials, but the step up. The new model improved the failings of the earlier model and comes with a ton of software.
Two videos for you...
Nice recording and nice cat!
Thanks for listening @Frenq😘🙏
