Any decent AutoTune plugins?
I like Antares Auto-Tune but find it really messes up the quality of the audio signal and adds unwanted artefacts , VocaLive is alright but didn’t really get the hard tune sound I wanted. Is there something else out there that I don’t know about?

You could try out AudioTune by Audiokit:
https://apps.apple.com/de/app/le03-audiotune-auv3/id1514663681
If you’ll give it a try let me know how it works for you.
4pockets Vocal Soloist is another option. Haven’t used it much or compared it to others so can’t comment on how good it is.

If you’re willing to go desktop instead of iOS, try Logic Pro.
Waves tune real time, a dedicated plugin for Cubasis
Here’s a video I made recently on two AUv3 Autotune plugins I’m using
Voloco, to me, has the best algorithm albeit it’s subscription based for its AUv3 feature.
Other than that, some DAW apps have autotune in them.
Waves Tune in Cubasis, and GarageBand has pitch correction in its Lead Vocals, and Enhanced Tuning presets.
I haven’t tested AutoTune Mobile by AT or Vocal Soloist (AUv3), but they are also available.
MultiTrackStudio (pro version) also has a vocal tuner included, though I have not used it so cannot comment on the quality. The desktop version documents that it uses Zynaptiq's ZTX algorithm so presumably the iOS version does the same.
If you own Cubasis, there is also the Waves Tune Real-Time IAP.
Auto-Tune Mobile is the one I liked the most and it’s AUv3. Waves tune is what I use now that I do pretty much all my vocal work in Cubasis 3 now. It’s also an excellent (stripped-down) port of the desktop plugin.
I found AudioTune by audiokit to sound awful with awkward pitch jumps. Not something I use unless I want a weird sound.
I have this but for some reason never got into the hard tune effect in it. I just gave it another go and its actually pretty good
Cheers but definitely not paying $160 au! what's the go with that, it says sold out "do not buy at this price"?? that's weird as
Thanks for that man, I won't touch a subscription based auv3 as I don't make money of my iOS music. Audiotune looks good but $160au?? no thanks that's more than the waves vst desktop version I use on my Mac.
I should have added that I am looking for auv3 to use in quantiloop or loopy pro when it comes out
😂 sorry I didn’t notice the price as I bought it for a few € after it was released. The Audiokit guys like to increase the price of their apps to make them more unique in the hands of the people that got them. Just wait a few weeks and there surely will be a sale again.
Whatever auto tune or any other pitch based effect you’re using make sure you give it a decent signal to work with. Clean with enough gain. I use noise gate before to remove any dirt and I wonder weather a compressor/limiter may also be beneficial to stabilise the input.
Despite being uncomplicated, with voicerackfx you can dial in most of flavours using intensity knob.
I think this is my problem, my signal isn't that clean. I have tried to clean it up as much as possible but im using this software as im driving so I can make a loop and practice my vocals. My work van is quite noisy so I use a noise gate which works fine but as soon as I use auto-tune it brings heaps of unwanted artifacts. I just did a test in my lounge room and the artefacts weren't there. I should have known better haha
Do you have access to a laptop or desktop machine? You could process stems there and get better results than on iOS.
For my money Melodyne gives the best results if you’re looking to avoid artifacts, and you can pick up the Essential version for $100 or so. If you’re lucky you can find someone selling a used license for maybe half that.
thanks man I probably should have stated my use case, I am looping with quantiloop in my car so just looking for auv3. I have waves autotune vst for MacBook stuff but just like to have a bit of fun as im driving and practicing vocals
it was a user error with my signal chain, I tried putting auto-tune before bias fx and it sounds much better. The only problem is now (in quantiloop input fx) is that bias fx seems to convert the signal to mono. I have a tasty stereo reverb (Eos2) as fx 3 but now it has been monoafied (I know that's not a word). I can't figure out the problem
As long as Quantiloop Pro plays nice with Audiobus/IAA there’s nothing stopping you using it via Cubasis 3 as the host. Not that the decision should be about cost but both Cubasis 3 and the Waves Tune RT are approx 50% off right now so the combined package with Waves Tune RT will be circa $25. Waves Tune RT is pretty decent too.
The other benefit you’ll get by routing via Cubasis is that you’ll have the opportunity to go through the Cubasis master strip with some dedicated FX that give you a little more control before you audio out (these were added to Cubasis with the version update to v3). There’s another Waves IAP which includes the L1 Ultramaximizer which as great for catching stray transients that would otherwise clip. If you went with this route that second Waves plugin pack is definitely worthwhile whilst it’s heavily discounted.
hmm that's an interesting routing concept as I do have waves tune plugin for cubasis (and vst but that's kind of irrelevant) im not sure if I can use quantiloop inside of cubasis but its worth a shot
Audiobus might be your best bet. I know that Quantiloop is an IAA host, I’m not sure that it can be an IAA slave, but it’s definitely worth exploring.
yeah your probably right, im constantly changing my setup and went to just using quantiloop as a host as I found the setup I had in audiobus crashed
nope it doesn't show up in auv3 or interapp
I don't know why but I can't even open auto-tune in audiobus. I freezes and closes straight away
Not only will I need autotune to the point I spend $15 for it, but I don’t know if singing is really something I should do anyway hahaha
But I won Audiotune from AudioKit Pro and I wanted to know:
Can you insert it before another audio effect so the pitch corrected audio goes into the next workflow path ? I’ve never used autotune and I can’t find anything on this app so I thought I should ask someone here since this is the most information you can find on iOS
And does it work in Zenbeats 3 or just Cubasis 3.5.1
