I can’t get enough of these visual apps! Glitch Clip and VS - Visual Synthesizer go together like peas and carrots!

I figure I can’t just keep throwing up these visual pieces with any old mediocre bleeps and bloops, so today I spent quite a bit of time putting together what I think is a nice piece of music to compliment the project.

I hope you all like it!

please read video description for details on instruments and apps used, etc.

Feedback and comments much appreciated!

  • Nothing goes with peas.
    Unless your talking snow peas.
And their done in a wok.
    By themselves.
With ginger and a bit of msg.
    And no carrots in sight.

I won’t eat any other pea myself. Not a big fan of carrots either!

How about pork chops and applesauce then? 😄

  • It’s definitely not ambient :) Lovely vid.

Thank you for giving it a spin!

  • Such a relaxing chill vibe. Precisely what I was needing, given how hectic my work life has been. Every part adds something to the mix. I especially like the bass guitar sound. I might have to add Pure Synth Platinum to my want list. Enjoyed the video and I agree, Glitch Clip pairs nicely with VS. Good stuff!

    Thank you so much!

I promise you I’m right there with you on the hectic work life!

I do have a slight correction to make though regarding the bass guitar sound… it’s actually “BASSalicious 2” (Which is now integrated into PureSynth Platinum which acts as a sort of ‘host’ for all of their other Gospel apps (like NeoSoul Keys, FM Tines, etc etc.)… Once you purchase both, you can click a few buttons and have it all under the PSP hood. I hope that makes sense.

  • Ok two things,

One, I’m an idiot. I just realized tonight why all my tracks have been sounding like crap in the car….. I had the dang EQ MIDs all the way up! I guess I had messed with it at some point and forgot to set it back. I adjust it back to more of a “scoop” shape, and everything sounds awesome again! Whew… 😂

And two! I was listening to my “Mandala” rhythm tracks tonight while in the shower, and a much more soulful melody came to me. I was actually humming it in the shower.. so when I got out, I dried off and quickly laid down a quick track so I wouldn’t forget this idea…

here it is, in all its improvised sloppiness:

  • I listened to this a few times in a row and agree, its a very good composition on it's own merit, with or without the visual. I only use headphones and I could definitely hear the stereo activity. The melody is tastefully restrained and memorable long after the song is finished, and you only used seven notes! I can tell you spent some time with this.

I vote for pork chops and applesauce.

Thank you! I appreciate the listen and your thoughtful feedback!

I’m hoping you had a chance to listen to the alternate melody recording.

  • Sorry for the delayed response. I only visit the forum on weekends. My daily grind is about 12 hours from door to door and I'm usually too tired to do much afterward.

Yes, I did listen to the alternate melody. To be perfectly honest, I prefer the first one. It was so simple and elegant, and most of all, very memorable. That's not easy to do.

    Thank you for that! 🙏

I do appreciate the feedback! Gives me a lot to think about, and you’re right, it’s _not_easy to do; when trying to keep it simple and follow the “less is more” philosophy. As we all know the most memorable lines in music are simple ones.
