Groovelin’

A little traveling music for our friend, @daveypoo with VB3m as an organ homage. Buono Fortunafish, my friend!

3 tracks Continua including a soupçon of @Spidericemidas S-ace Monkeys. BASSalicious, iFretless Bass, House Mark1 and Rock Drummer. Loud and headphones, if at all possible. I worked hard on this one. A bit of a challenge.

  • Diggin that driving Lumbeat Rock Drum groove!

The organ sound reminds me of something. Can’t put a finger on it just yet… definitely progressive type rock, ELP?

I love these kind of jams from you Mike, makes me want to grab the Les Paul!

  • A touch nostalgic.

    The organ playing is superb.
It would’ve take me quite a few try’s
to get even close to sounding like this.

Personally speaking, I would’ve eased back on
the reverb but the track overall sounds really good.

It’s always a pleasure listening to your music.

    Thank you.

  • @Edward_Alexander, it’s def something out of the past... @Gravitas , lol, nostalgic, indeed. This is how I was playing 50 fucking years ago!

Yeah, I struggled with the reverb, Ish. It’s too, much, especially in the beginning. There was even more in the patches, but I just couldn’t fix it. Not so bad after that, I think.

Thanks for liking it, guys. I’m thinking about the “professional “thread on this. I’m def not a production pro by a long ways. I rationalize it by thinking it’s home grown, and, therefore, different. But this is one track I wish could be crisped up by a master.
As they say, good enough for folk music.

  • You're very kind, @LinearLineman - I'm having a HELL of a day over here, and this really picks things up. I truly appreciate both our friendship and your support, my man. You have no idea how helpful it is and how much it means to me.

Regarding the tune - I'm impressed by the overabundance of CONSONANCE in this piece, Mike. You clearly know where my heart lie with the straight 4 beat and the organ. We should start a band, man!

I'm no master, but I'd be happy to take a crack at it, as long as there's no specific timeline.

    That’s why I said nostalgic. 😄

It took me straight back to the gigs I also used to do back in the night.

I heard the struggle but as I’ve said overall it sat well.
    Nah, it wasn’t bad.
    That’s why I said personal speaking. 😏

    You use Cubasis?
    I have Cubasis.

Give me a couple of weeks to finish off some projects
and I’ll have a tweak if you’re interested?
I’m not a Master per se but I am certainly experienced at getting good mixes.

As they say, good enough for folk music.

    Lololololol

  • Thanks @Daveypoo. I’ll pm you and we can catch up with the latest. It must be quite the time. The Afghans are desperate to get here, and you, understandably, seek new horizons. Irony is always appropriate!

Thanks @Gravitas, I’ll happily take you up on the kind offer. Just pm me when you have the space.

Personally I don’t think it needs any polishing or crisping up. As it is, it has a more raw “live” performance recording feel to it, which I think really suits this music style and since almost all the instruments are the more traditional-sounding type that are usually ‘performed’ rather than programmed, the live feel/sound fits perfectly and adds extra atmosphere. Too clean and sterile would not suit the style or the instruments, imho.

Not articulating it very well but hope you know what I mean!

Great groove and well aimed at Daveypoo. He loves the Funk!

Hiya, Michael expressed a wish and as
I’m in production mode it’ll be great fun
    for the both of us.

Heya! @Gravitas Yes of course 😃 I may change my mind after hearing your production of it too! A good exercise! Please tag me if you upload your version as I’d be interested to hear the comparison, cheers! 👍

Yeah, I will do once I upload it or preferably Michael as it's his piece. 😁

    There’s a “Professional thread”?

    Nah, not yet.
It seems there soon will be at this rate. ;)

  • @Edward_Alexander ,,, the ‘Too many apps’ thread.
