Interapp? Of course!
Hi @LuisMartinez - would you be up for sharing your thoughts with us regarding AUv3? Have you decided it’s IAA and out? I will probably keep an iPad just for your apps if that’s the case!
Or do you plan to upgrade all of your apps to AUv3? Or do you plan on releasing the apps all over again as AUv3?
It would be really great to hear your thoughts.
Respectfully,
Gus
I would be surprise if @LuisMartinez would give any specific answer...
I’d like to ask the same. Thank you!
Hi @gusgranite ... Some time ago we were doing tests, research and trying to move to AUv3, it was impossible for us to adapt some things. Maybe with recent iOS and frameworks it will be easier, will try again, but can't guarantee anything.
Anyway, now, with the export functions is so easy to import tracks to your DAW in seconds. So it shouldn't be such a must-have feature for most users.
Indian drummer took more than 3 months of research, test and develop. If you feel that AUv3 is as must-to, is ok, take it easy and don't buy it, simple. Everyone happy. But believe me, after 3 months with tabla sounds drilling my brain trying to make them sound most natural as possible and trying to understand all kind of odd "taals", for me AUv3 it is the least of it.
Congrats @LuisMartinez, I will have a prawn bhuna in your honour
@LuisMartinez one rather large gap in the iOS market is high quality round-robin drum samples. If you were to release AUV3 versions of Soft Drummer and Funk Drummer with just the samples and no sequencing (similar to Klevgrand's Ting and Slammer but with acoustic drum samples rather than found sound samples) I would buy them in a heartbeat.
I'm happy to do the sequencing myself, but getting good quality samples with round-robin and different velocity levels is the issue.
This might be a way to test the AUv3 waters, and repurpose some of your existing sample sets into new apps and new revenue streams.
THIS
Congrats on the release of Indian Drummer! Huge respect for even taking on such a challenge as the tabla and it’s complex sounds + rhythms.. 👍
IAA? AUv3? I say use ‘em while we got ‘em.. I’ll be picking this up regardless.. your drum apps are absolutely fantastic for jamming with.. so easy to get something going.. it’s like having a live drummer sitting beside you.. (and not constantly checking the tuning of each and every drum at every possible chance).. 😁
Comparisons with SwarPlug? (Which is AUv3)
This has me super pumped! I love tabla!
All the other tabla swar apps I couldn't get to grips with and couldn't repurpose are now in the rearview window. Bought. Thank you @LuisMartinez.
@LuisMartinez So happy to see this app! It is amazing like all of your apps sir!
Just wanted throw out there the possibility of creating an app that features Cajon, shakers, djembe, percussion type beats, much like Garageband’s percussion drummers. I know you have percussion in your Brazilian and AfroLatin apps, but I think there is a market for a percussion app kind of geared towards singer-songwriters that might want some jammy acoustic percussion to accompany them. Right now I have to export percussion from GarageBand, which is okay, but if you made an app like their percussion drummers, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. Just food for thought, thanks for listening. Now on to jam out with some tablas. Peace!
Will this sync to AUM as IAA?
Hi @LuisMartinez - thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate you being so open about the challenges of the AU format.
Good luck with the launch. I’m sure it is another killer drum app 👍
Instabuy! Instant workout tunes. 😁😁😁 I love all the Lumbeat apps.
Yes, as with all his apps.
It will be interesting to see how this works with iBassist 'AI' to create rhythms.
And it will be even more amazing to get these great apps in Auv3.
Oh, and iCloud saving for iBassist to move to other devices,
Nice.
I agree with Richard and respectfully wish you would reconsider Auv3 drum app as Richard said. Adding a midi file preview browser would be incredible.
I do not want to buy app that will be deprecated soon. The market is begging for Auv3 real drums like Superior drummer and you are one of the best développer to fill that void.
@richardyot
@ecou
Have you looked at DrumPerfect Pro?
I own it, but you can’t use it the way I described above.
Looks like it’s $7.00 if you own Jazz Drummer..
