Releasing tracks : singles or album?
Hi,
I’ve been used to releasing albums of material in the past as that’s how things used to be packaged ie for CD etc. However these days I wonder what people do when releasing material?
Do you tend to release singles as they are done or wait till you have a batch ?
Planning on using DistroKid bt]y the way.
thanks

I do singles and albums. I like the typical format of releasing one or two singles a few months ahead of an album.
no one has the patience for albums nowadays. Unless you have a hyper dedicated fanbase, most listeners will just skim through the album and move on to the next thing.
Having a few targeted releases is more likely sit well and get replays with new and old listeners.
Releasing an albums worth of content could mean you end up with a bunch of songs that dont get the plays they deserve / you want.
Releasing as singles also adds longevity to the project and can help create a steady stream of content.
I want to release my new remakes as single NFTs
