@jwmmakerofmusic, for sure it’ll be on sale on Black Friday.

But can I wait that long? That's the trick.

Make sure you take a look at Pure Piano too before you decide.

  • Impressive work @LinearLineman!!

Both your live playing and post editing showcases how much you've progressed with composition and arrangement recently.
This Fugue has a surprisingly classical touch to it, a refreshing visit of a style yet quite uncommon in your history of tracks online.
It sounds somewhat mechanical to my ears (and indeed, timing corrections you do at half the bpm will sound "twice as correct" at double bpm) but while that may hurt a bluesy or jazzy performance, it fits the classical style quite well IMHO.

Thanks for posting, hope you had lots of fun doing it! 😉

Thanks for listening @rs2000. I agree. If you listen to the 100bpm version it is much less mechanical.

@Daveypoo here is a midi import to Dorico. I need to learn how to split the left and right hands, however, as it is all on one staff.

  • Fuggin hell, this is beautifully accomplished.

No wonder your introduction bemoans the lack of interaction within the ABF, but that's the nature of social media and the world.
You may have 100 listens but only 2 comments, that's quite normal.
I see that some fear the backlash if they put any constructive criticism, quite a few will put in high faluting praise all over your creations. Which is great but nobody is perfect but I want to hear what's good and bad, the little nuances that can be improved, removed, remixed and spat out again.

This fugue improvisation is beautiful, and as other have noted, should be on a higher platform; not stuck languishing on ABF or Soundcloud where algorithms will determine your creations audience reach.

My only gripe with the piece is the 'digital' piano sound.
If this could be performed on a real Joanna in good time, I'd be all over this, on loop, preferably in a state of meditation before bed time.

Well, what I call it studying.
    Learning about modular through
    modular software.
I needed time away from composing
and the world was going ‘Pete Tong’,
so I though I might as well learn
    something new.
Still, other things have been happening
since then so recently I thought it worthy enough to get a new guitar.

In regards to the baroque stuff?
I found I could make baroque groove
using a more modern quartet but
I needed to really explore the textures
    for orchestral composing and arranging.

    So I wrote this…

    Have a listen, there’s 26 pieces here
    with more in my archives.

I'm now going to be using these pieces
    for a documentary I'm doing.

I realize all of my music (like most here) sinks into oblivion, like a short lived cicada making a brief noise and falling into silence.

Something about this feeling I find more and more assuring and comforting as I get older. I love the idea of some random music nut like me going down a wormhole 25 years from now in search of interesting stuff to listen to, and against all odds, stumbling on something of mine that they like.

  • Boss track as usual. But yes it’s an extra special one indeed. Gave my mind just the jolt I needed to start animating my day. And the synth coming in sounds fantastic. Always excellent with the complementary tones among your instruments in a track.

  • Thanks @oat_phipps. Hope all is well with you.
