    Thank you!

  • Would be great to hear that an iOS version is coming fingers crossed

  • Sorry to say, looks like that is not going to happen after all, for technical reasons. Turned out to be too difficult to port

If you want to try something along the same lines, download my miRack sequencer based on similar concepts: https://patchstorage.com/aviary/

  • To be honest i never clicked with Nest.... Patching cables etc is really not my kind of thing at all, just not a workflow i remotely enjoy, even though it can produce some really interesting results

  • I didn’t click with it either, but was hoping that having it on ios would get me into it. Sad it’s not coming..

  • It was the perfect app for what I call "happy accidents".

I also thought the same, i would probably enjoy it more on touch screen

    I’ve thought/said that a few times myself…

It's just a sandbox for kids like me who want to have fun making noises!

So now it's safe to say that this app will never be on the iPad :(

  • I think Sugar Bytes have now stopped porting anything over to iOS. That was the impression I got with the Effectrix2 communications.

  • I contacted Sugar Bytes about porting Nest to iOS a while ago (2022). They said that there are no plans to port it right now, mainly due to technical difficulties like the complexity of the UI.
There are other apps like MIDI FX PRO that come pretty close to being a modular MIDI playground. Sadly this app has no AUv3 version available.

  • I enjoy the grid in Bitwig, but Nest feels impenetrable. I think the node based workflow just works more intuitively and is easier to comprehend at a glance.

The annoying thing with Bitwig is that you have to unistall it and reinstall it each update. Am I missing something?

Haven't had this issue. Just install over existing and everything works fine.

Yep. Beta versions and full versions, one over the other. No issues.
