MIDI Guitar 2 into Cubasis 3?

Midi Guitar 2 into AUM is working just fine. Fun way to play my virtual instruments using my guitar.

I'd like to do the same thing with Cubasis 3. Not only to play the virtual instruments but also to record midi. So far no luck, but I'm still low on the learning curve with Cubasis.

Has anyone tried this?

Thanks,
Joe

  • Interesting! I hadn't thought of recording midi using Midi Guitar 2 before, I'll def give it a try.
However, Midi Guitar 2 latency would be a problem.

  • This works fine for me!

    And the latency is okay!

  • Cool, that give me much hope and expectation!

Like it or not, even though I never reached the heights I wanted to with guitar, it’s still my best instrument. Not keys. So let’s see what happens.

  • Thanks, I got it to work with MIDI Guitar oas a standalone app and Cubasis 3 open as a standalone app routing it in.

I was also hoping MIDI Guitar would work within the Cubasis host app, but couldn’t quite make that happen. Not a big deal.

  • Why bother with MIDI guitar?

  • Of course, that's not iOS. So I don't know how how / if that'll translate to iPad.

I don't see Midi Guitar out in the Midi Input. My only solution is to open Midi Guitar as a standalone app and AFTER, open Cubasis 3 and set a midi track with, let say, Pianoteq. But I find it annoying to not be able to do it IN Cubasis.

same here. cubasis3 doesn't list it as midi in/out.
