Loopop's MEGA CONTEST

edited October 2021 in Other

Make a track with the best unreleased synths of Superbooth 2021

it's time to finish a song (and get free soundpack :) )

There are packs for iOS too , using Decent Sampler format

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/decent-sampler/id1530441977

On desktop version pack ,there are sfz files too and might be used in ZenBeats (within SampleVerse , haven't tried it)

Good lack :)

  • I imported the sfz files into AudioLayer which has much more ways to sculpt the sound than DecentSampler. For instance envelopes and LFOs for pitch, level and filter. I know loopop asked to not alter the sample‘s character too much but it is not forbidden by the rules.

I was also thinking about to use Samplr but I wonder if it wouldn’t fall into the category of forbidden tools like granular synths or using the samples as wavetables. It would brilliantly demo the iPad‘s strengths to play a melody with Samplr. What do you think?

None of the prizes really tickle my fancy. Need some better incentives! That Nymph(e)s synth though…if only it were a keyboard instead of desktop module. The vintage detuned pad sounds on it are perfectly in that unstable OB territory, and it’s affordable.

If only MIDI controllers weren’t ugly generic looking hunks of plastic. If you know of one that looks decent let me know.

  • when do you have to have a song entered for this contest?
