  • What a great FX demo for this new Erik Sigth app "Rymdigare". It opens up some interesting audio spaces. Yet another take on a reverb-focused app.

Thanks. I didn’t expect to like it so much. I can see using it for personal meditation purpose…it is easy to set up something you can get pleasantly lost in. I need to spend some time working on a nice MIDI mapping set for my Blueboard and expression pedals.

  • Lovely stuff late on a Sunday night… think you have persuaded me to buy the app.

beautiful work @espiegel123! Rymdigare nails a cool, dark Lanois/Eno/Budd vibe. your nice, subtle play is deeply peaceful. thanks!

I hope you do that and share your findings and any resulting recorded sessions. Does the app support the typical Blueboard modes (CC, PC or Note as I recall) or will you need a Mozaic script. Does the app expose "AU parameters"?

We can keep this conversation going so more people will hear your music and I just like a general conversation whenever possible.

  • This is just great. Very much puts me in mind of a lost Ry Cooder soundtrack. Sold!

Rymdigare exposes quite a few useful parameters. I'll use the Blueboard (possibly with the Blue Velvet streambyter script that lets you set up double-taps on the footswitches) to mostly do things like engage or disengage the send to Rymdigare, switch presets, and use the expression pedals to influence a couple of parameters. I don't anticipate needing to do any scripting for this -- but it does remind me that I have a dormant Mozaic project to take CC snapshots and morph between them -- which I should probably finish.

I can see where crossfading between a number of settings at once (in humanized fashion so that they don't happen too-in-sync with each other).

  • @GeoTony @bangzero @ExAsperis99 : Thanks. This is one of those plugins where it would be worthwhile for my own pleasure whether I ever used it for a track or others or not. I tend to like things that help me get things done -- but occasionally it is nice when you find something that helps you lose yourself -- which this does for me.

  • Beautiful stuff 👌👍👏

  • V nice. What is making the pulsing background noise? I like that too.

  • Nice vibe & playing @espiegel123. Sold. Not sure I'll use it much but it does sound very good.

  • @barabajagal @pbelgium @SimonSomeone : thanks foe the kind words.

The pulsing noise is provided by rymdigare...it has radio noise simulation as one of its effects. The pulsing is provided by rymdigare's orbiters.
