Running LP in stand-alone mode. I click MIDI Learn, then the button on the EC4. If I hit it quick and then turn it off, it registers as CC20 ON, otherwise if will register as CC20 HOLD. The EC4 has 2 settings for buttons, TOGGLE and IMMEDIATE, with the former being the preferred method as it leaves the light on when pressed and off when depressed.

I would assume feedback is turned on as when I hit Mute on LP, it reflects on the controller.

It sounds like your controller isn’t sending an off when you release the button. So loopy thinks you are holding it. After you midi learn, tap on the display of what got learned. It will pop up options and tap on.

  • Unlike AUM, Loopy lets you learn tap, hold and double-tap for the same cc.

When midi learning, it assumes your controller sends on when the button is pressed and off when released. If the controller isn’t set up that way, you will need to manually adjust event triggers.

Figured it out! Had to basically manually map it due to the hold function. Thanks!!

Anyone know if it’s possible to change the selected Nektar Pacer profile with a midi message from Loopy Pro? Like you can on Morningstar pedals to select a bank.

You might get more eyes on your question by creating a new thread whose title reflects your question. You might clarify if you want to change the loopy control profile (if so, the answer is yes) or are wanting to change the Nektar Pacer’s internal banks).

From what little I can find of the product documentation I don't see any mention of changing the onboard Pacer presets via external MIDI, only via the switches. The MIDI implementation chart doesn't indicate it either. It may be possible, but I haven't found anything that indicates it is.

Loopy's flexibility would come into play here. You could use the same preset with many profiles in Loopy, each doing different things with the same Pacer Preset.

The real active Pacer users can be found on the Discord channel. I'll bet you can get any answers you need over there. Here's the invite link: https://discord.gg/loopy-pro-922977925182132245. Sorry, I'm no help with Discord as far as how to sign up or what to do if the link doesn't work.
