Another hub question
I've read through a bunch of posts and looked on Amazon, but I'm struggling to find a hub that will work for my current setup. Just go a Launchpad Pro MK3 and want to be able to use it and wired headphones at the same time. I also want to be able to use my Digitone and Digitakt with the hub, on occasion. That means I need a USB C hub that has at least 2 USB A ports, 2 USB C ports, and a PD port would be nice, as well. Everything I find either has HDMI, which I don't need, or not enough of A or C ports. It doesn't NEED to be powered, but it needs to be portable. Any suggestions?

USB-C port-based hubs don't really exist. There are a few options, but mostly you get just the host connection and PD ports.
I workaround this with USB-A to USB-C cables. I can't wait to eventually streamline my cable collection and be down to just USB-C cables, but really the connector is just the physical aspect of USB, and it's easy to "bend" it as needed, I just make sure storage things are on USB3, but most all other devices are still USB2, even if using a USB-C connector.
I could be wrong but it seems you get a hub/dongle with usbC to plug into the ipad, and it would provide you with power and a connection to an actual proper hub, and your headphone plus a few other things like sd card and screen with could be superb for a projector for visuals.
I wish I knew better. Im sure others here will answer this for certain.
This explains the options I found, it would be nice to see if there is better options. https://www.macworld.com/article/349019/the-best-usb-c-hubs-for-the-ipad-pro-and-ipad-air.html
Here is an Elektron link too, but I assume you already been here.

I have lightning ipads and I use a lightning dongle with usbc pass through power and usb3 To a powered hub using a 3amp power supply so it has plenty enough to light up my beatstep, qnexus and SSD and usb thumb drive which goes between other gear.
@Liquidmantis that's what I figured. The kicker is that the wired headphones only use USB c per the apple dongle. Stupid jack removal...
@Cyp3 I've seen both those posts. I'll look at them again to see if I missed anything.
Thanks!
Sorry, I misspoke in my prior post. You can find a hub that will allow you to use one USB-C accessory, just not n. They're largely white label, so I can't find the ones I've bought in the past, but as an Anker fan, this is the one I'd get if I was ordering right now:
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Upgraded-Delivery-Pixelbook-A83460A2/dp/B07ZVKTP53/ref=dp_prsubs_1?pd_rd_i=B07ZVKTP53&psc=1
Problem with that is it's not a lot of USB ports. My favorite one has five total.
This USB-C adapter might work as well:

Here's a four USB port hub:

@Liquidmantis Thanks, mate! I saw the Anker one and was hoping for more than 2 USB A ports. I could just daisychain the hubs together, I guess. Haha. I'll check out the other 2 things, as well.
@slicetwo
my portable solution:

2 usb A, pd power port, headphone jack, HDMI.... 20$ rarely use it tho.
I use this more often:

I like that the first one has a headphone jack! Fancy
Could use the headphone jack on the elektrons, no?
I can when I'm using them, yes, but not when it's just the LP and iPad.
Yup... reviving a hub thread... just wanted to pass this on to people...
Been playing with this for the past 2 days.....been working great. Everything said about it is true
USB C hub w/ NVME, passthrough, etc No issues on my ipad

Only thing is everyone says it does get warm with heavy drive use, and it does. The audio jack could be a little better, but its find for being out and about.
Overall if you're looking for a new hub....kinda recommend this at the moment.
