I'm sure this took a lot of effort. I'm impressed with the articulations given the
mad dash tempo. Especially the strings... they work so well here to elevate a piano classic
into something grander than a simple grand.

I wanted to send you a proper reply to your nice comment. I was about to turn in last night and had to cut it short.
Yes, there was a fair amount of effort in this one. I don't think I ever put more time into a 2 minute arrangement before!
The strings were a bit of a challenge. The original legato phrasing wasn't cutting through so I added a few extra layers to emphasize the attack. I think it worked OK. As you probably know, I took a few liberties with the original score. I hope NRK is looking down and having a laugh!

@Paulieworld , not keen on AC/DC but Stravinsky is my favourite composer. The three great ballets are up there with the greats, Firebird, Rites of Spring and my favourite Petrushka.

I'm with you on AC/DC. Actually, I can't stand them! I was just sort of joking. I did those two previous songs since they have been widely parodied before. I think one of them may have been used in a Benny Hill chase scene. I did it for the amusement only and would never think of corrupting a Stravinsky composition. I think Hall of the Mountain King is a great piece of work and would be hesitant to apply my "interpretation" to it. Thanks for listening!
