Drew me in.
Outstanding!
Really good stuff!
@LinearLineman @Edward_Alexander Thank you, gentlemen!
FYI - Cheater Gunsmoke was Dick Tracy's arch nemesis on the cartoon show in the 60s.
I have no idea why his name popped into my mind.
@Paulieworld I was listening to your track again this morning like it was one of my favorite old mixtape jams, when I started singing the lyrics…
(you must have been channeling your inner Rob Zombie! More Human Than Human)
@Edward_Alexander Thanks Ed. That's quite a compliment!
I haven't heard this one in a long time. Ironically, the company I work for printed his tour books before this whole mess started.
Especially liked the contrast between the jangly guitars and muted trumpet… good length as well which I think is Important… (sorry if that sounds like something from a Carry on film)
@GeoTony The trumpet was sort of a happy accident. I usually try to keep things between 3 and 4 minutes. That seems like a good length to me, too. Good to know others agree. Thanks for listening and providing your input. It's always appreciated.
Love the Harmon mute trumpet solo. I wanted to hear more of that improv. It’s quirky and addictive. Really nice stuff.
@boomer "Quirky and addictive". I couldn't have asked for a better review. Thank you very much!
It probably sounds quirky since it's not actually a continuous improvisation. It consists of a bunch of bits and pieces that I cut up and assembled into something resembling a trumpet solo. You can probably hear it if you listen for it. However, I would rather you spend your time making new music for us! Have a great day!
