  • I just got a 512 XS for about £250, newish non Apple battery, seems ok after a couple of weeks use… just keep a watch on what you want on eBay and put silly low bids in until it comes in, worked for me for both phones, cameras and iPads so far…

I recommend the newest and most expensive one. And you can repeat this advice in 3 years.

    Lol. Yup.

An other advantage of the 6s plus is that it has a 3mm Jack, 2 GB of Ram and is supported for IOS 15.

Ahh, so I was wrong. The 6s can handle current OS. The 6 is different. Thanks for setting that straight.

The 6 plus is WAY different than the 6. I’m typing on the plus now . Still good

  • A refurbished XS gives a lot of bang for the buck if you can find one.

  • Thanks for all the ideas, folks!

  • So I went to T-Mobile tonight. They were telling me given I use musician apps that I should get a iPhone 13 pro.

Ain't going to happen. I started talking about the iPhone XR and I don't think they have that. So then they shifted gears to the iPhone 12 pro.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the pro version of the phone really should matter to me much. What matters most is how late the model is and how many gigs of storage, don't you think?

    Thanks

The Pro models have better cameras for the most part, so if that's not important to you you can go with a non-pro phone.

The iPhone XR has been discontinued. Of the current lineup the iPhone 11 is probably what you want, it's better than the XR.

  • Thanks! Right now I'm thinking Apple refurbished non-pro model. Maybe 11 or 12. 128g or 256g

And assuming T-Mobile is going to take it whether they are super pleased about it or not.

Apple refurbished is good if you can get it. Both the 11 and 12 are awesome phones.

  • If Screen change is needed, their are Face ID issues with new iPhone 13 unless you go yo an Apple store. but Apple is said to be changing that.

  • 6S plus, is the last one with headphone jack, I have the 6S, bu t I fell I would greatly benefit of the bigger screen and battery

On the apple page you can literally line up the phones you are looking at and compare each detail.

This lets you setup and compare any 2 versions.

    https://www.apple.com/iphone/compare/

This is all you really need to know. Then you look around and see what you would be willing to pay.
