AUM + Ableton + Digitakt Workflow?

Hey there,

Long time lurker, new user here. Finally created an account, because I’m stumped.

To keep it short:
I am obsessed with the idea of the following setup:

Digitakt to multiple tracks on Ableton, through Overbridge. This I’ve figured out how to do.

Now, I’m hoping to use AUM as a multi-effects unit for Ableton. That is, have multiple AUM tracks available to Ableton I/O to use as send effects channels. More broadly, I’d like to have all three pieces (Ableton, Digitakt, AUM) synchronized, and fluidly communicating live multi-track audio between them. Is there a way to do something like this? And still output to my speakers through my audio interface?

Anyone got a similar setup going who could shed some light? It would be so powerful, especially if you connect something like a LaunchControl XL to AUM for live control over pre-assigned parameters.

🙏🤞

  • Studiomux, with the new version in beta, is for this. The original version was a mess. Not sure if this will be any different. I opened the beta once and just gave it. It SHOULD be possible, but for now your best bet is a couple interfaces and going old school between them. I’d love to be shown wrong!

  • IConnectAudio 4c is a hardware audio interface which also gives a bunch of software connections between devices.

  • Studiomux, as it has been said.

And you no longer need the beta, it was updated to the version 5 two months ago. So it works perfectly on iOS 15.

It offers the same functionality of an iConnectivity AUDIO4c through an USB cable.
