Best Way To Connect My iPad to External Effect?

I want to use this with my iPad:

I already have a MOTU M2. What is the best way to connect it to my iPad? I want to try some reverb from the G3N and play with Animoog.

I know that some setup can sound better than others so this is why I'm asking.

Plain and simple? External OUT mono from my Motu to the input of the G3N and external In and Out of my G3N to my Motu stéréo input?

    iPad > g3n > motu m2

I use this plug: dap audio xga-10

Use a headphone splitter to also send the stereo out from iPad to aux in of g3n

You will need a ground lifter for that cable

I use the keymaster but any reamping box will do.. Gotta get that line level signal to a Hi impedance signal. That zoom is expecting a passive pickup signal from a guitar.

The cool thing about the keymaster is you can Use it for "all things mangling" take the zoom and put it in 1 of the effect loops. Maybe put a tape deck in the other... Even used as a tool to let your vocal mic interface with any fx boxes or mangling devices. Its my most used and valuable creative tool.

Its really just transformer based matching tech but with the bells and whistles to let you mix and match whatever you please.

**the aux in on those guitar based pedalboard usually pass the aux signal clean. So you can "jam" I suppose ***

    Cheers

  • I think on the zoom you can adjust the input effects to accept line in instead of hi-z.

The G3 yes, but I think the G3n no. If yes, I did not find it.

  • I have g1xon some effects like noise reduction have that option I thought, but maybe it is effected by the input level pot and I got that info about line in level from the manual.
