First project on vidibox
That is one of the most awesome videos I've ever seen.
@Buska You made this last night? Cool video and music. I was hoping someone would post one. I like what you did here. Great job.
@DarbyA & @ArcaneScreams
Thanks for the kind words gents, yeah its my first video in vidibox (made a few hours ago), i made all the audio in other apps and then pasted the audio into video clips and triggered the video/audio together in vidibox.
@Buska I'd like to see you do more. Is this something that would keep your attention? As in, do you post on video channels, YT, etc., and would this be something you'd do occasionally? Do you DJ and have video at your shows? How did the editor feel, was it an easy app to use, or did you have to work to get what you wanted? I'm trying to think of how I would use this, so I'm asking you. :-)

Thanks again for the kind words, i don't dj or vj and only make music. i don't have a youtube channel apart from the 2 videos i've made for this forum
I want to try and get the midi-in working as i can't seem to get anything to trigger with midi so i was just recording me tapping the screen etc, but once i work that out i think it will be very nice as a midi trigger-able video module. The editing is really well done and works well.
So far i'm really liking the app. I will try to do some more when i get some time, a rare commodity these days
@Buska
Cool video, the end is really good that idea is great
@Buska - That was a great video. I am very excited to dig in to Vidibox after watching that. The previous demos I've seen have been a bit techno-y for my tastes, so this "trip" was just what I needed to see. Fantastic!
++ @Buska
@Buska, great video, even greater track. Plus one to you making more!
Been playing around with the app after getting a promo code. Quite easy to navigate and compose. Great job to the dev on a fun and useful app!
Send mail ,but afraid too late (as usual!)
@Buska nice video ....please carry on!
@Buska like the beat, nice video
Yea this app was definitely a lot easier, and more fun, to use then I expected. I'm still just messing around with the included content, and been shooting some small video clips containing some random noises I've been making beats with. So I'm still doing just basic stuff. But this can do so much more, and you don't need to be a video editor or vjay or whatever to handle this app.
I've always wanted to try and make a "music video" of my own, seen a few cool videos from Sinking Feeling (not sure what he uses for video, but the music is iOS only), and the really cool video above by Buska is another cool video. There are the traditional editing apps like iMovie and Pinnacle Studio etc, but there's a whole lot more work involved there for someone that just want to quickly get some cool moving footage along your music and upload it to YouTube. Whereas Vidibox seems like a great match for quickly messing around and spitting out some cool video along to your music, since it's focus lies at just that, creating mashups with audio and video in various ways. John from MusicAppBlog touches a bit on that subject in his review here: http://www.musicappblog.com/vidibox-review/
Anyway, this is one of those apps where I just went "why didn't I get this earlier?". So I'm feeling a bit cheap here getting it for free via a promo code. Speaking of, it's on sale at $5.99 at the moment (or will be in a few if it's not in your part of the world) : https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/vidibox-music-video-mashup/id643295952?mt=8
Its great that it ties to AudioShare. Very easy to pull audio clips over.
Had some time tonight to play around with this and I'm really impressed. I made a little video using random clips I had made in Animation Creator HD and loops from a song I did last summer for a friends soundtrack. It's a little rough but it'll be fun to try and compose something from scratch with this eventually.
@CSwinn What a cool video! Thanks for sharing. I just bought this, based on the feedback and videos from you guys. Maybe we can set up an AudioBus MTV channel somewhere. Like Doug's channel, thesoundtestroom.
Doh... That's really exciting. I thought I could leave out video for a while because of storage issues. But seems too attractive. I wonder how much data a video takes
Good stuff Colin!
heres another, all music made in samplr
@Buska Dude. I seriously think you've found your calling. Awesome.
Thanks guys. @Buska, another winner! You must have an awesome movie collection, love the people tripping/getting pushed into lakes, too funny.
So I've just opened Vidibox for the first time. My question is with regards to the videos you are all using. It would appear that you need to load from your camera roll or Dropbox. Are you guys using some type of "watch YouTube videos offline" app to capture these clips?
Goodreader still works well for saving youtube video to camera roll. This thread discusses the how-to:
http://forum.audiob.us/discussion/593/jam-along-youtube-videos/p1
I use iCab as a web browser, and holding down on a video on the YouTube site will bring up a menu asking if you wanna download it. From inside iCabs download menu I just used "Open In" -> Vidibox. I'm pretty sure there's at least a few other browser that does the same (anyone tried the built-in web browser in GoodReader btw?).
I just downloaded this app, Titan. The link is the free version, pro is just 99 cents. It's basically a browser, once you find a video, press and hold to download. Switch the globe icon to videos and in the library, find your movie and press and hold to save to camera roll. Stupidly easy, and the ads haven't bothered me yet.
