Nowadays I research both apps and hardware before I get them...
...so even if I don't have a specific app I'm quite 'aware' of what it can do as I've most like already checked them out
I rarely read it AFTER buying something
Two kinds of users: those who read the manual, and those who ask questions that are easily answered by reading the manual.
XaCT!💯👍😉
I have specific requirements in my set up. Audio & MIDI. So RTFM is a must for me to make sure things will actually work. Saves me a lot of time and aggravation.
You forgot: those who complain that there are no videos instead of a manual.
Nothing against them, btw. Except that they're lazy, stupid, and weird.
Just kidding of course.
Not even an option with Kai Aras apps, mate 🤷
Never, and rarely ask questions. But a preset man does that.
I pretty much alway read the manual for hardware before I buy, just to make sure I understand it fully and make sure it fits my workflow. Software too sometimes, though the work flows tend to be more open ended so seeing it used in person or videos helps more for that.
First, casual demo watching to get my curiosity piqued. Then I might peek in the manuaI to see if the thing I want to do exists and how it is implemented. Then I read and watch reviews/demos/ tutorials and search for mention/examples of my particular use cases. Then if I’m still not sure, I’ll ask in a forum.
I didn’t reply to the survey because I would need a “sometimes” option… or “only reads some parts”
