cubasis audio recording from another track
-I have a midi instrument with effects on 1 track in cubasis.
- I want to send the audio from that track, to and audio track and record it to that audio track. so that there is a waveform there when recording stops.
- can cubasis do this?
- can you hav another tracks audio output, as the input to a audio track?

@eross I’m not an cubase expert but last time i tried i had to freeze the track. That will generate a wave file. That i how cubasis 3 handles AUv3.
But i think that you can do the trick if you use IAA if i remember corectly
To freez a track—>
There has to be a midi not playing, either from the cubasis pianoroll OR from an external sequencer via the midi routing of the track.
if you have, for example, a “midi instrument” that plays without using a midi note, for example an oscillator in MiRack it’s not possible to record to an empty audiotrack.
In this case you have to use this workaround —>
And you can also use ApeMatrix to get bothe in sync —>
@eross
This is the audiobus post, sync cubasis and apeMatrix!
