Yeah the Volt looks pretty tempting. I currently have a 3rd gen Scarlett (which is way better than the 1st gen, much quieter preamps with cleaner gain), but I am toying with the idea of a Volt 176.
Cool. About to pull the trigger here for an EVO 4 which would really suit my setup and seems higly recommended by many, but something about the Volt series is tempting despite the price difference. Wanted to see the specs that UA finally released AFTER starting to sell them😳. Waiting for YT (Julian Krause and others) to check them out in real life since specs don´t say everything.
I got a TC-Helicon Go Twin budget interface a while ago when they were on sale that on paper sounds great but when listening to recorded stuff the word budget shines through. It has a compressed sound lacking clarity in both highs and lows. I tested the same recording with an iRig Stream and there was a huge difference to the better that even I as a hobby musician can hear.
I have come to realize there really is a difference between budget interfaces and how they sound. To top it off, it is often subjective… my oh my.

At last.
Do I understand correctly that these interfaces can drive 240 ohm plus headphones without additional headphone amp?
Yepp, the Volt 276 is up next. Julian rocks!
I love how he calls UA's mandatory registration to get the ASIO driver for a D*ck Move
(The Arturia MiniFuse line-up also gets a positive review and uses the same AD/DA).
Yes, this is addressed in the video review above. The unit should have no problem driving any headphone.
so does this run off bus power for usb-c iPad???
