How To Make MIDI Sound Real In Cubasis 3 (Pianos & Strings)

In this video we’ll be going over a few techniques to make your MIDI strings and pianos sound much more natural and realistic.

  • Haven’t listened yet, but would like to hear how you improve apps like Ravenscroft, strings in BeatHawk, ISymphonic and SWAM (with examples), since serious acoustic iOS users wouldn’t use the stock Cubasis sounds very often.

    How about a Part 2 detailing how to shift the timing of certain notes to mimic the imperfections in human playing?

    Or unquantized recording with partial-strength quantization applied afterwards, if CB3 allows that.

    It may also be helpful for folks who purchase your MIDI packs, or those who make beats, to loosen that rigid robot feel that's so prevalent in today's music.

    The techniques I describe in the video can be applied to any virtual instrument, stock or 3rd party :)
