  • Really love this app. I hope he eventually brings it to iPadOS...I know he's exploring this as a possibility for the app. :)

  • This is a sample manager and browser? It looks very nice.

  • Nice update indeed

  • I just bought it on sale right now for $49.

  • How good is this mapping feature in action? Seems killer.

Why am I investing in iPad apps when things like this exist? he sometimes wondered.

I've found it to be mostly very very good - and now you can reassign the sample type any mistakes it makes can be sorted.

  • I get that train of thought. Empathetically. Nothing helps me create more than this Glass slab form factor. But the walled garden app selection and the lack of hardware diversity, often feel as much a liability as strength.

I’ve come to the conclusion that this is still a nascent creative platform and as such, it’s uneven going for the first generations of adopters and programmers.

Creatives just have to be smart and focus on creation- not getting too hung up on platform exclusivity (when necessary/possible). And iPad developers have to seize the moment when their vision and opportunity allows.

TLDR- use all the machines at hand to enact your will!

Thanks! Didn't know it was on sale right now. Going to buy it when I get home.

So happy to see people enjoying Atlas. @MattAlgonaut has done an amazing job expanding it and there’s lots more magical stuff coming.

If you love Atlas check out some of his other work by downloading Serato Sample. He no longer works for Serato but he was lead dev for Sample and it’s magical.

When it comes to UI/UX design, Matt is in that special rare air of developers.

    Didn’t know that!

I didn't know this either, but it makes total sense now! Love Serato Sample and Atlas UX/UI, great tools.

  • I tried the demo on my copious folders last night, but it only seemed to map short samples, is it really just signed for drums?

Long sample support was a feature request I put in a few years back. Would love to see it.

Ah cool, I thought it was user error, and I couldn’t find reference to it in my brief scan of the manual, cheers Gus

  • I’m still waiting for my beloved XO to update to 2.0 - though I sense it may be coming soon.

    Walkthrough:

I have both, and like both. Surprisingly, a lot of people complain about the XO sequencer. I actually really like it. I also like how XO handles rendering of audio.

Edit: one thing that Atlas has going for it is the grid sequencer. It is very simple and straightforward.

  • I wish Atlas continually evolving patterns.

  • New update inbound 👌😀

  • 👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊

  • Nice, needs more patterns and pattern switching. Randomization for modulation looks good.

  • Nice. Good interface, easy to use, yet deep enough to make some complex rhythm. The randomization of kits has created many beautiful serendipity moments for me. One thing I hope for is a little better algorithm for randomizing patterns though. Right now it's a bit too, ok you laugh now, randomized... :D
