Tip - if you need Multroute Audio in AUM, it can be done
Here's something useful I just discovered. I need to EQ 2 sets of headphones using Morphit. My plan was to switch between two instances of the Morphit plugin and have a headphone switcher. I then discovered a feature called Multiroute Audio that allows you to use the inbuilt iOS audio device and an external USB audio interface simultaneously. AUM doesn't support it, but Audiobus does. To use it in Audiobus you turn it on in the settings, set up your routing using one of your audio devices, then set up a second chain and then plug in your other audio device. You can then pick between the two audio devices and they will both work at the same time.
If Audiobus isn't meeting your needs, but want the Multiroute Audio option, you just need to have Audiobus running in the background, and have each of the audio devices selected as an output in a chain. Then when you go back in to AUM both output devices will be available to select as an output. I'm running one set of headphones from the iPad and one from the headphone output on the audio interface. This old 16GB iPad Air2 now has its retirement gig.
