    IMO, AudioLayer is worth it even if just to load the Salamander piano.

    Could you share the source please?

    It can be found many places. Here is one

  • I am working on a choir. Hoping I will finish it this weekend…

  • Ok, it took me much more time but now I think it’s okay.
    However I encounter a new problem since the last update : impossible to setup independently at layer levels on 2 layers.
    Each time I change the settings for 1 layer, it also changes for the other one.
    @VirSyn , any idea please ? Thanks

  • Yes I agree, it now needs ability to isolate the layers for selection.

    Completely : even when I select zones of one layer, it select also the zones “in the background” of the other layer.

    Also, it would be nice to be able to setup several zones at zone level at the same time : select several zones of the selected layer, go to the settings, tick “Zone level” box and edit the parameters for all selected zones.

    I mistakenly reset my iPad and forgot to turn off auto backup so the backup with all my instruments is gone.
    I however did sampled it again but with few patches this time have about 6GB now.
    Is there a simple way of sharing patches instead manually exporting etc patch?

    That's the biggest issue with AudioLayer and the iOS file access concept in general IMHO: Once you have your samples inside AL, the only reasonable way to access them all at once is to do a full device backup and use a 3rd party utility to access the data in it.
    Apple really have to do something about it 🤦🏻

    Of course Virsyn could have opted for providing access via WebDAV or Files.app but they chose not to.

    Sorry about that broken new "feature"...
    already fixed here - update is imminent

    It is possible to make a backup of AudioLayers samples and instruments with Instrument sharing. Sharing the top level folder creates a zip file from all data which can then be used as backup.

    But we also have a new option for storage in the upcoming release which will allow you to use any folder on the iPad or on an external SSD for storage.

  • Wow !!!!

    External SD?. Does that mean I could have the entire Samples from Mars library on an external drive and store the Audiolayer instruments there?. That’d be awesome.
    I can’t fit in my iPad and iCloud is not instantaneous so being able to play and stream from external sd would be awesome.

    Yes exactly. And you can switch between different base folders / different ssd at any time for unlimited expansion.

  • Wow, now that's great news @Virsyn.
    Thank you very much!! 😃

  • This news shouldn’t be buried in some obscure thread.

  • Providing visibility into Audiolayer samples from iOS files will be great. Thanks to Virsyn for this awesome auv3.

    Game changing 🙌🤟. My biggest problem with sample libraries is that I simply don’t enough space.
    When will this be released?. Great news

    @VirSyn that’s music to my ears🔥🔥
    Would it be possible to add “back and forward “ arrows so we can load presets without having to always open the instrument browser?

    This will be huge.
