    Thanks @White

Looks like it dropped as VST as well.

I didn’t know the sound so found this (60s - 70s) I like that tone, takes me back…

The ui looks awesome, like a real mini organ sitting there…

  • Nice!

Though.. which Italian organ is this an emulation of? There's no combo organ known as a Torero as far as I know. Pretty sure the Kingsmen used a Hammond, as well as Pink Floyd..

Definitely some weird and wonderful Hammond / Farfisa hybrid stuff…

  • It's the Farfisa Compact Duo that they're modelling from what I can tell.

This is a pretty decent example of what it sounds like when used in tandem with an Echorec (clone).

Their website says it’s an emulation of a Farfisa Matador.

  • I presumed the Compact Duo as that's what Pink Floyd used and the dev references Floyd in the promo text. Maybe both keyboards share a similar set of internals.

  • Interestingly, their website features a hardware vs plugin video. To my ears, the plugin is a little too 'pristine' but it nails the general tone. The hardware has a warmth and grit that's particularly evident in the lower registers. But it should be easy enough to add that missing grit and warmth with a post fx chain.

A have a weakness for these little passion products when they deliver on their promise, and on balance, Torero definitely captures a close facsimile of the Farfisa.

  • Another really nice App by Julien Faure, Torero Organ is a faithful recreation of a 1970s Farfisa Matador.
You may remember Julien's other apps, Keys Of The 70s and the Hanon B70 Tonewheel Organ.
After going through the Torero Organ in detail I combine all three in AUM for a complete vintage 70s vibe.

  • thanks for the video, Doug!
Gonna open it up on youtube here
