Help needed for a Celeste app...
Or even a "combo" app that HAS a celeste sound in it perhaps?
Glock sounds don't quite cut it.
Comments
BeatHawk Baroque pack has one… can’t comment as to how realistic it is 🎹
Yeah I saw that app noted elsewhere, but couldn't find any lists of presets in it. I am using a glock in Pure Synth Platinum at the mo, which is ok, but not ideal.
Ok I'll have another look at it....thanks
I once started building one for Drambo... But who owns Drambo anyway? 😅
Beathawk Baroque has Celesta 1,2,3 and Hard as full instruments.
You could look at available soundfonts. After a quick glance, the one in the MuseScore soundfont seems best. You can play it in the SoundFonts app. There are likely better ones in stand-alone (not GM) sf2 files.
thanks again -beathawk seems to be a good price @$8 - how much are the add on packs for the Celesta?
Might have a look at a soundfont app, probably about time I got one I guess. Any recommendations?
+1 for Beathawk and/or soundfonts
We had this same discussion not long ago

The app uncledave was specifically referring to is https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/soundfonts/id1453325077 . It comes with 3 different Celeste sounds but as mentioned you can load your own in. Has a good selection of bread and butter sounds already installed and well worth what I remember paying for it.
Edit: also worth mentioning that this is M1 compatible so if you have an M1 Mac then you can use it there too.
Grab Beathawk - might still be 50% off. Always handy to have as some excellent sounds available as IAPs.
IAPs are all currently reduced too.
Haven’t tried it yet but loved the video… https://www.pianobook.co.uk/packs/pitched-electric-celeste/
thanks
I bought both BS-16i and Beathawk. Both seem like great apps. haha, went straight to the default sound library in BS and there was a celeste ready to go!
I'll still suss out the ones in Beathawk though
thanks everyone!
AudioLayer has one you can download as well if you have that
I like BeatHawk very much. But right now, AudioLayer being at only 8$, it is just very hard to surpass as a sampler. You can download some quality soundfonts and map the layers the way you want inside AL. You can assign filters with cutoff frequency and resonance according to incoming velocity and have unlimited polyphony.
If you have Audiolayer I’ve just discovered there is a great celesta here which can be imported as a SFZ

V realistic sounding indeed
