  • Was going to say through the AB forum… 😂
Actually I can’t remember, probably searching for “wtf is Drambo” in Google…

  • Just googling

  • It came to me in a dream.

  • I've forgotten but I do remember lurking around for a year was it two before creating an account B)

  • It’s been over 7 years. These days I can’t remember past 7 seconds so… What was the question? 🤦🏽‍♂️

googling "inter app audio" because I wanted to record Caustic into garageband on my ipad mini 1.

Pity that one will never become AUv3

  • Can't remember...probably a Google search...

  • I discovered it after downloading the app ... the world of mobile production opened up to me…🌞🔊🔊🔊🔊

  • I believe watching one of Doug’s demos.. initially caught one of his Arturia MicroBrute vids + then discovered he had a ton of iOS stuff.. coincidentally a good friend gave me a brand new iPad mini 2 at around the same time.. probably lurked for a year before diving in.. Luck? Destiny? Who knows.. I’m thankful.. 🙏

  • For me it was Jakob Haq had mentioned a list of links for the iOS music making community in his video description. It was I found Discchord as well

  • A Jordan Rudess video led me to his apps. Discovered iOS but thought there were maybe a dozen music apps. Found ABF on Google searching apps. Bank account started its inevitable decline. All well worth it. (Except Jordan’s apps which I never use now).

  • If memory serves, I used to come here years ago looking for helpful information, but only relatively recently did I finally sign up with an account when it was clear there was a mix of musicians as well as technically-minded people and that the fine folks here were generally very welcoming. A lot of other forums are overridden with spammers and abusive posts, so this is a nice place to be.

I got my first Apple product in 2019, an iPad Pro, after having had many computers, windows, Linux, and others, starting in 1979. I got it mostly as a premium reading device and mobile browser, but was also curious about music.

I first discovered the iPadMusic subreddit forum, which wasn't bad. But I quickly discovered that many questions there were best answered by a referral to go check at the Audiobus forums. At first I thought the 'Audiobus' had a narrow proprietary focus, but found that it was actually the best spot on internet for info on ipad music creation generally.

  • I think it was mentioned in a @thesoundtestroom video.

The Overloud Holy Grail Fender Tone epic thread….it cost me money too, but worth it. This forum and Flo showed me just how good an iPad and guitar can sound, feel and play.

    Same here

  • My pal @FPC showed me caustic, then one of my caustic searches led me here.

About £1,000 in apps later and I still don’t have a number 1 hit!

Back when I first bought an ipod 5 must had been 2010-ish, when audiobus came out it was a thing of magic (still is)

Wait, my profile has 2016 when I joined, but in my defense I’d been lurking for a while

  • When Audiobus App... was the shit !!!
