Hi Everybody!!
I would like to record Aftertouch data on Helium wile I’m playing
I can hear the change of the sound but the data is not recorded
Has anyone done this or anyone knows if this is possible ???

    I don't know the answer, but just to clarify ... Mono Aftertouch or Poly (MPE) Aftertouch?

    Mono Aftertouch but MPE Would Be Great

    MPE uses channel aftertouch (I guess what people sometimes call mono) rather than poly aftertouch. In MPE it succeeds in being per-note because each note in MPE gets its own channel.

    MPE uses channel aftertouch (I guess what people sometimes call mono) rather than poly aftertouch. In MPE it succeeds in being per-note because each note in MPE gets its own channel.

    Interesting. I always assumed it used the Polyphonic Aftertouch midi message type. Makes sense though.

    The original Animoog used poly aftertouch (it pre-dated MPE being popular). A number of people said when MPE came on the scene that it was a needless hack since poly aftertouch already existed and was even part of the MIDI spec. Launchpads have poly aftertouch which is great for synths that support poly aftertouch but doesn't work for MPE.
