Best app for managing sheet music/chords/tabs?

Hi!

I've been putting off getting an app for managing all my collected digital sheep music, chords, tabs, etc. Partly because I get overwhelmed by how many they are and how the options seem to change over time. I'm hoping to avoid subscriptions.

ForScore looks like one of the best. I just wondered if that's what you like/use most of if there are other, better options. I'd love to hear any thoughts or advice. :)

Thanks so much in advance!

  • Can't help I'm afraid but I love the idea of a sheep music collection.🐑

  • Lurker from Audiobus day 1. Just registered to say that I think you’ll need to consider something that can cater for the number of bleats to the baa.

    Excellent forum by the way.

Apologies for lowering the tone of the forum. I’ll try to post something a bit more constructive next time!

  • Ewe guys...

  • Wool you all please get back on topic?

  • I myself prefer PiaScore. It's the app I use when I perform piano.

  • I’ve been meaning to pick this up in order to have a searchable library of some Realbooks that I have.. not sure how it would work on other books + sheets.. 🤷‍♂️ It went up in price ($5) recently and the score drawing tools is an extra (+ only) IAP..

  • I love ForScore and don’t see myself ever switching to something else. It’s so powerful, so configurable, and the dev team has demonstrated long-term commitment to being cutting edge on Apple’s platforms.

I agree! We (my wife & I) have been using forScore on a separate iPad (she’s a Concert Band Director with just her iPad for Scores and I am using AudioModeling SWAM instruments on a PC and a separate iPad for
    sheet music).

I’m in the process of converting everything over to iPads only for our contemporary music Duo (Camelot for iPad and AU instruments). Can I run Camelot in the background (with Backing Track audio & instruments) while sending program change messages from forScore keeping the sheet music in view?

I like the way forScore displays the PDFs better than Camelot Pro (although Camelot can change pages with Timeline Markers).

    Thank you!
