Polyrhythm Fun in AUM with iPad Pro M1
I’ve had a discussion with my daughter this evening, she asked what the polyrhythms were.
I gave some explanations using AUM and several Helium/Ruismaker instances.
It has ended, with other AUV3 and good amount of fun, to this little jam!
Nothing special, but I also show briefly Helium(s) settings (tempo, time signature, loop lenght) with mouse 🐭 in the video. As always, M1 rocks 🤘

Any sentence with @Janosax and polyrhythm has to be investigated further.
When you stopped the faster pattern it took a couple passes for me to find the "One" again.
That's the joy of polyrhythms... suspending the feeling of being rooted and just drifting on the possibilities of a reference for time.
What is interesting also with polyrhythm is that you don’t have to strictly understand it to feel its weirdness, like you said all that time drifting loosing contact with root

John Coltrane played with two drummers at the same time for that purpose, and his latest drummer Rashied Ali played multidirectional rythms said John. Polyrhythms roots are in African music, even with singers groups polyphonics or two holes flute player duos. I’m not a specialist but find this fascinating and wish to dig further into it.
