Hmmm
Yea that was my thought as well. I am not really into playing my ipad like an instrument, more of using it as a sound engine, effects processor, looper, etc. hooked up to my guitar and midi keyboard. Maybe because I haven't bought thumbjam yet and realized the potential of the touch screen.

Epic Fail!
It's not that bad!
It actually is quite bad. I watched the video before checking the comments and I have to say I thought let's see what people think about it and I'm relieved that I share many of the opinions. Is this guy a brother of the guy from pro log or do Retronyms clone their employees?
It actually is his brother Dan.
I really hate how it looks. The whole "EDM 80's neon cool" thing was dumb to begin with and is only getting worse.

What @gmslayton said is what I think too. Also the visual interface seems cheesy. I'd have chordion instead of this anytime, even if its interface is far from sexy at least it is not trying to be that flash. I personally don't feel biased against the company but I think his clone brother is slightly better at making promo videos.
Maybe they are going for that Retro 80's vibe:
Can we decide as a group to not talk shit about the people in product videos?
Ok, we could decide that. Was it really that bad?
Just for the record, I wouldn't be like this about someone doing an instructional video but I'm feeling slightly different about the promo,
I thought people were more talking shit about the product being demoed, more than the demonstrator.
I actually sort of liked it, in a cheesy way....
It wasn't that bad. Just rubbed me the wrong way.
Tabletop is one of my favourite apps but this one did not exactly spark my interest. That's fine, I don't need to own all of the devices, I still didn't get the T-PAIN one and probably never will. I'm sure it will find its audience. And although I doubt it I might change my mind once I know more about Stryke. All I saw so far was the interface and a couple of sounds. The new Tabletop ready Arturia app will be more exciting news to me I hope....
Maybe it's meant to control other synths or IAA apps loaded in Tabletop, giving you an alternative way of playing them, which could be quite useful to some people.
Just watched the video again. I don't won't sound overly critical but I don't think they are doing themselves any favours. Probably most of the videos I've ever posted are scruffy and full of mistakes etc. but I'm not a company but a bloke with an IPad. @Syrupcore
