So I uploaded this new piece called “Space” to my YT channel a week or so ago.

I was planning on sharing it here on the forums the next morning when suddenly, out of nowhere, Moog surprised us all by releasing AniMoog Z!

I quickly forgot about everything else and have been lost in this amazing new synth!

Last night, I decided to revisit this piece and add a little Animoog Z magic to the mix.

I’ve also been loving using SoundSAW to add saturation/feedback to EP sounds, and then running it through some lush reverb.

The original piece had some visuals created in VS - Visual Synthesizer, but I decided this time to just capture the audio because I believe it’s good enough to stand on its own…

    Twin Peaks on Quaaludes. And my old friend SWAM sax. Nicely done, Ed. I think you could lift the whole thing a half step or two after a while.

    Thanks Mike! GeoSWAM tenor sax and SWAM Flugelhorn. My Euphonium player couldn’t make it for this one.

    Not sure exactly, I did the full version unlock and bought all 3 IAPs all in one swoop. Then I immediately transferred all of my OG Animoog presets over. There’s a ton!

    There is some amazing music in this forum. I'm a sucker for bass, and I love the sound of it here and how it combines with everything else.

    I stupidly passed on Ridymgare thinking it was a game from the description, lol. I am assuming that is what gives this tune its big space sound?

    The thing is, you could have created those drum parts if you wanted to! Instead, you spent the time focusing on the big picture, and created a really good song. I wish I could play this in my office. It would have a calming effect on the crazy people I work with. Well done.

    Yes, I’m very proud of how the bass line turned out. (Thank you!) Everything (besides the Lumbeat drums) was written/composed and performed by yours truly!

    “Rymdigare” does play a big part in the sound, along with FAC Alteza, Eventide’s Blackhole, and SoundSAW.

    Do buy Rymdigare! Highly recommended!

    Thank you Paul! I do appreciate the recognition. I could have, yes, with the right samples, sat down and sequenced out all the hits, fills, and rolls, but with this piece I decided to take the easy way out.

    Drums are one thing, I guess, that I don’t mind “using an app” for, like I did here.

    Like you said, this allowed me to give more attention to everything else.

    It’s nice to hear that the Sax player has returned from having a drink at the bar and brought his Flugel playing sibling🎺 another great track… if I was being picky I think the flugel could have played a couple of variations but perhaps they couldn’t be arsed after a drink😊

    This is one of those apps I just bought without a second thought cuz I used the first animoog sooo much. Its so perfectly suited to the touch screen too, it was really made for a touch screen.
