Trent Reznor used this on The Social Network soundtrack.
Moog Model 15 would be pretty good for some of that stuff.
hehe, i started this exact same thread a while back, search and you will find some potential answers.
Audulus, MiRack or Drambo are probably other good options worth exploring, coupled with a decent spring reverb AUv3.
Model 15 has a ribbon controller but the Swarmatron has 8 oscillators modulated from a single control and that's at the heart of its unique sonic signature. So building something bespoke with a modular toolset will be a necessity. Model 15 loads as a MidiFX in AUM so you should be able to make use of its ribbon controller strictly as midi out (ideally as a 14-bit signal). To be honest, a good old-fashioned mod wheel controller will be an easier approach than Model 15s ribbon controller.
What about Photophore?
i have always wondered what would be close in ios.
that’s where i first saw it. i thought there was a youtube video of him showing it
Not sure whether it does or doesn't have the chops to emulate Swarmatron, but you've just introduced Photophore to a new customer. I have I feeling I'll lose a lot of hours with this one.
/ takes bow
You can definitely emulate the Swarmatron with Drambo
and most probably with MiRack as well and
in addition you have a wide range of oscillators
The suggestion of using Model 15's ribbon controller is a good one for sure.
